I suppose most Amillennialists, since they say Christ has already set up His kingdom, will have no choice but to believe as 2besee believes….
That at the very point of Christs coming in the clouds & gathering together His flock, that the heavens & the earth will be melted and made new.
And since Amillennialists, the several I have spoken with anyway, since they believe this, then they also believe that Gog & Magog takes place before Christs return also…
But there is a problem.
A great problem which contradicts this view. And this is it…
IF Jesus creates a new heaven & earth at His coming whilst still in the clouds…then what is this:
Ezekiel 39:9 >And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
We see it plain as day right before our eyes, that after God destroys Satan & his armies who surrounded the camp of the saints, Israel is left to burn all the remnants of the weaponry for 7 very old earth years…no new earth here!!
One should also notice in the commentary that the Israelites are very human as well…no Spirit creatures here YET.
Nevertheless, this verse clearly contradicts & cancels any chance of the earth being melted at Christs coming…for if the world were melted at the coming, then these weapons were immune to that melting & it was up to those Israelites to finish what Christ could not!!
See the problem for Amillennialists?
It is a significant one at that.Thank you.
