    Hi,

Prophets too were anointed and Jesus Christ is the Great Prophet spoken of by Moses.

So CHRIST means the messiah or anointed one.

    It does not specify rulership.

    Hi Nick,

If you want to live in denial, that is your choice

muslims call Jesus the messiah, but deny his Messiahship

    Hi Ed,

    What is your problem?

The messiah was born in Bethlehem.

He was anointed at about age 30 at the Jordan River.

    Hi Ed,

Tradition tells you that the Jordan was not his anointing.

As a faithful Jew he submitted to the baptism of John.(Lk 7.29-30)

Then he was filled with the Spirit.(lk4.1)

    Hi,

To fit with the teaching that Jesus was a preexistent Spiritual being

    tradition

has to deny that Jesus was conceived in Mary, born under the Law

deny that he was a ordinary man like you and me

and deny his anointing at the Jordan.

    Hi,

All this confusion because folks do not realise The Spirit spoke through the man Jesus Christ.

Like the pharisees they attribute the words just to a man.

    Hi Nick,

I merely pointed out that biblical leaders were all anointed.
So rather than a Priest anointing Jesus, God anointed him.

He was anointed as LEADER at Jordan,
but Jesus was born as the Christ,
he was a priest from birth.

Remember he went into the temple to Teach at the tender age of 12

    Hi Ed,

Why do you try to fly these silly kites?

All in defence of your dogmas?

The High Priest is taken from among men, not embryos.

    Hi Nick,

The bible clearly tells us Jesus was born Christ.
Why do you dispute the very words in the bible?

Edj….Jesus was not born a messiah, he became one when he recieved the spirit of God, no messiah could be a preexisting being. Ask any Jew and they will tell you a messiah has to be a human being who was anointed with the spirit of God, just as Moses was. John saw the spirit decend on him like a dove after he was baptized. NOW IF HE WAS ALREADY THE CHRISTO’S AS YOU ASSUME, THEN WHY DID HE HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN TO RECIEVE IT. NO SCRIPTURE SHOWS ANY MIRACLES OR TESTING OR KINGDOM OF GOD (GOSPEL) TEACHING TILL AFTER HIS BAPTIZM. THAT IS WHEN HE WAS SENT OUT INTO THE WORLD, NOT BEFORE.

Peace and love to you and yours. …..gene

    Hi Ed,

When folks refuse to accept the prophetic nature of the written Word what can we  do to help them?

    Hi Nick,

Show them fulfilled prophecies: like the 70 weeks of Daniel, Or the
1,260 day/years that Israel fled from the abomination of desolation.

Edj….that was Jesus’ destiny, to be the messaih, he was not the anointed one untill he was anointed even though that was his destiny. Moses also was born to be a messiah or christo”s, but he wasn’t until God put his spirit on him. The word “born” means coming into existence, not prexisting like the being morphed from one existence into another, as most all falsely believe.

If you think he already was the anointed or christo’s, then why did he have to latter recieve baptizm and the anointing be poured out on him, if he was already the anointed one. That sounds like the teaching of the Gnostic’s who believed because Jesus was a God already he had no need to be anointed by GOD, WHO JHON SAID WERE ANTICHRISTS. Tell us why you believe Jesus had to be anointed as the messiah twice?

Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

    Hi Ed,

President Obama was born in Hawaii.

Of course he was not the president yet.

And the Messiah was born in Bethlehem.

Three big logic fallacies that I see presented here:

    1. Opinions: opinions are presented as evidence.
    2. Scenarios: scenarios are presented as proof.
    3. Consensus: consensus is seen as conformation.
