peace and love to you and yours……………gene

The Spirit is from eternity.
The Word is the Spirit of Christ.
The Son of Man was conceived in Mary.
January 30, 2018 at 1:12 pm#821037Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Micah 5:2 makes two things perfectly clear:
1. The Spirit of Christ came from eternity to Earth
and
2. The Spirit of Christ was birthed at BETHLEHEM!You believe #1, but not #2 – why is that?

Ed JJanuary 30, 2018 at 1:22 pm#821038NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
No doubt you can offer supporting verses.
But Micah 5.2f
But as for you Bethlehem Ephrathah,
too little to be among the clans of Judah,
from you one will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.
His goings forth are from long ago,
from the days of eternity.
So one will go forth to be a vessel for the Holy Spirit of God.
What other verses do you offer?
January 30, 2018 at 1:28 pm#821039NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
You seem to see perfectly clearly what is not written.
You speak of BIRTH and EARTH in relationship to the spirit of Anointing.
How?
January 30, 2018 at 3:28 pm#821040NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Unless you can provide supporting verses for your theory
you have just shown how easy it is to make false doctrines
by personal interpretation applied to one verse of scripture

(1)But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
(2)whose goings forth (Christ’s) have been from of old, from everlasting.(Micah 5:2)The route is clear: from everlasting to Bethlehem

Hi Nick,
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth?
(1)what is his name, and
(2)what is his son’s name,
if thou canst tell? (Prov 30:4)1. JEHOVAH
2. JesusChrist is not Jesus’ name, but a title – meaning “Anointed Ruler”. (see Micah 5:2)

Ed JJanuary 30, 2018 at 5:14 pm#821043Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Here is a second witness:
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together,
he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5 And they said unto him,
In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, (Matt 2:4-5)And which Prophet is that ???
…Micah 5:2____________

Ed JJanuary 30, 2018 at 5:15 pm#821044NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
The man Jesus was conceived in Mary and not given the name JESUS till later.
So perhaps it speaks of the Spirit.
January 30, 2018 at 5:17 pm#821045NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Speaking of the Spirit of course.
January 30, 2018 at 5:19 pm#821046NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Certainly the Chief priests and the scribes knew the messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
But you think it was the Spirit??
January 30, 2018 at 5:21 pm#821047Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Are you ready for more?
____________
God bless
Ed JJanuary 30, 2018 at 5:25 pm#821048NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
More?
Yes please as you have given us nothing relevant yet.
Do you think Herod wanted to kill the Spirit of Christ?
January 31, 2018 at 11:21 am#821051NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
You say Christ means ANOINTED RULER.
Where is RULER in the definition?
January 31, 2018 at 11:56 am#821052NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
If your use of scripture and the definitions thereof are so sloppy
why should we take any notice of your conclusions?
January 31, 2018 at 2:38 pm#821053Ed JParticipantHi ED,
You say Christ means ANOINTED RULER.
Where is RULER in the definition?
Hi Nick,
1.
And Samuel said (to Saul), When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made
the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel? (1 Sam 15:17)2.
And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel,
I anointed thee king over Israel (2 Sam 12:7)3.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
and the LORD God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and OF HIS KINGDOM there shall be no end. (Luke 1:31-33)____________
God bless
Ed JJanuary 31, 2018 at 2:53 pm#821054NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Yes kings and priests were anointed and Jesus Christ is Lord and High Priest.
But that does not define CHRIST as anointed ruler.
Be more accurate.
January 31, 2018 at 2:55 pm#821055Ed JParticipantBut that does not define CHRIST as anointed ruler.
Wake up Nick
