Hi Michaels,
Have you been a Christian long? Would you share your personal testimony with us when you have a chance? Your vision sounds interesting. Are you saying that along with Christ, we also had a former existence but forgot it?

“God + Man = Divine Man”
Does not the Bible teach that Jesus is both Son of God and Son of Man?Was Jesus truly conceived? You believe he was! And if he was, he was conceived of both God and man. And if he was, then the result of “divine man” is not outside of scripture.

A son that results from God+women is just man, too?

So Ps 2 is the key scripture that idenfies the Christ as the Son of God.” 1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.'
The ANOINTED is the Messiah or the CHRIST.
He is shown in the Psalm to be the appointed ruler of the earth.
Twice in the verse he is identified as the Son of God.That is why it caused so much offense to the enemies of God.

Hi Nick-
I don't think the fact that the future King is God's Son, matters one bit to the heathen rulers. What matters to the heathen rulers is that they won't be rulers anymore, they will be made subject to follow someone else and not be able to lead. If it were some alien coming down to take them over I believe they would be just as offended.July 19, 2007 at 3:49 pm#60711GeneBalthropParticipantnick….>you touched on a scripture that i believe is a key scripture, thats when Jesus as his deciples who the people were saying he was, then he Peter and Peter responded, ” thou art the Crhist the son of the living God”, and Jesus responded blessed are you Simon Barjona, because flesh and blod did not reveal this unto you, but My Father who is in Heaven has revealed it unto you. then he say's and I say unto you, thou art Peter and upon (THIS ROCK) I shall build the Church.

Hi Jodi,
The Psalm is set at the end of the millenial reign when Satan is let loose again to sift those who are on earth [Rev20].But I speak of the knowledge that the rebellious Jews had of this Psalm. They knew that the Christ would be the Son of God. So When Jesus said he was the anointed one and was the Son of God it unleashed their hatred against God. They were of the other leaven that hated God and the leaders wanted to steal the vineyard for themselves by killing His Son.

Hi Gene,
Yes the anointed One recognised the works of God being done also in Peter who was being taught truth by God having accepted Jesus as being from God and soaking in the rain of the Spirit falling on him.Jn 6
” 68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Let's look again-1 Why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and his anointed, saying, 3 “Let us burst their bonds asunder, and cast their cords from us.” 4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision. 5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 6 “I have set my king on Zion, my holy hill.”
Is this not talking about when Christ comes to set up the Kingdom?
7 I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have begotten you. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”
Once again this sounds to me like the time when God sends Jesus down to destroy the existing governments and set up His.
10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, with trembling 12 kiss his feet, or he will be angry, and you will perish in the way; for his wrath is quickly kindled. Happy are all who take refuge in him.
Here the rulers are being warned that Jesus will come to take over, and that they’d better be ready to follow him, or else they will be destroyed.
The Psalm, I believe is talking about when Jesus takes over at the beginning of the thousand years.
I might need to re-evaluate, but upon reading some scriptures awhile back, I was led to believe that the reason why many Jews did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah was because they were expecting him to overtake the world right then and there. They did not know that he needed to die for their sins. They were expecting the Messiah, when he came the first time, to restore their nation and richly bless them. When he did not do this, they claimed him to be a false Messiah.

July 19, 2007 at 8:56 pm#60731GeneBalthropParticipantnick….>I don't think people really know how important that scripture is for us to understand, because it show's how the Father is the one in control of minds and opens them up to reconize truth. It's the Father's work that gives us the understanding we need even to fallow Jesus, Didn't Jesus say no one (CAN) come unto me except the FAther Draw Him. True salvation is The Fathers work a work no man can do, without Him being present.
