    Hi,
Perhaps this subject needs it's own thread.

I have posted what I wrote in another thread to start some discussion.

The kingdom of God is open to Jews and gentiles through the same gospel.
    John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
    John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
    Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
    Acts 20:25
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
    Acts 28:31
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

But you should not confuse the PREACHING of the kingdom to all with the TEACHING of the apostles to those who have obeyed and are SAINTS.

They can lose that inheritance and must walk in the ways of God.

    Galatians 5:21
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

    Ephesians 5:5
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

    1 Thessalonians 2:12
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

But teaching and preaching are separate roles for Jesus and the apostles.
The roles should not be confused.

    Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

    Acts 15:35
Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

    Matthew 11:1
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

    Acts 5:42
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

    Acts 28:31
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

    Colossians 1:28
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

    1 Timothy 2:7
Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

    2 Timothy 1:11
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

    Hi Nick,
    Good verses and topic.

Is it saying that we are not necessarily to teach the lost but rather preach the kingdom of God to the lost. We are to teach the saved. Would teaching the lost not sink in because they need the first step of accepting the preaching of the kingdom of God?

    Hi LU,
    Absolutely.
    Preach the word.
Preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Teaching the unsaved only makes them more fit for the fire.
Those who are yet of the world cannot receive what is given of the Spirit.

agreed…God draws…once he draws them and they begin to be “made over” then we can water…

Romans 8:7-12…7the sinful mind[a] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.

1 Corinthians 3:5-7…5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

Nick……..it should be better understood as teaching through preaching a preacher is also teaching at the same time he preaches. Thats why it says teaching and preaching, there the same function happening at the same time. You can't separate them from each other as you imply saying they are not the same.

The ones that God has not opened there understanding will reject the teachings and preaching no matter what. A person who can't see Just can't see and they are not condemned if God Has closed their eyes they are blind so all the preaching or teaching in the world won't change them.

    Hi GB,
The Word is preached-the seed is sown.

    Matthew 13:19
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

    Luke 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Teaching is the watering of those new plants.

    1 Corinthians 3:6
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

    Ephesians 5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

    Hebrews 6:7
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

They are different roles but both are roles in the united body of Christ

    1 Corinthians 3:8
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

You say… “The kindom of God to Jews and Gentiles by the same gospel. Still the same error repeated.

Matt.15:24…”I (Jesus) was not commissioned except to the lost sheep of the house of Isreal.”

Col.1: I (Paul) am now rejoicing in my sufferings for you, and am filling up in my flesh, in His stead, the deficiencies of the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the ecclesia
25 of which I became a dispenser, in accord with the administration of God, which is granted to me for you (Gentiles), to complete the word of God —
26 the secret which has been concealed from the eons and from the generations, yet now was made manifest to His saints,
27 to whom God wills to make known what are the glorious riches of this secret among the nations, which is: Christ among you, the expectation of glory —

Notice Paul says “to complete the word of God”, and “the secret which has been concealed fro the eons”. This truth was not known before . You have to “correctly cut the word of truth”, to understand what is being said in scripture.

    Your welcome, Blessings.

    Hi CO,
The commision of Jesus to the Jews has no bearing on the eternal gospel.
It is the same gospel whether to Jew or gentile.

    Hi,
So Jesus preached the kingdom to the Jews and his brothers preached the same gospel to the gentiles too. So why do some wish to divide this eternal united gospel into parts?

Of course the teaching that they did was different as the apostles were writing to the saved.

    Hi,
PREACH and GOSPEL occur 43 times together in scripture.
TEACH and GOSPEL do not occur in connection with one another.

We should preach the gospel of Jesus Christ
and teach those who are reborn of the Word.

    Nick.
It would be truthful only if you can produce scripture for what you have said. But you never do, because it doesn't exist. So do not preach false doctrine unless you can prove it by scripture.

Are you still confused about the difference between preaching the gospel and teaching the church?

    Nick.
Do you even know who are “the church?”. Please give your perverted descripion if you do.
I don't really expect a civil answer, just some of you jibberish.

    Blessings.

    Hi,
So from after the time of John the baptist the gospel of the Kingdom is preached.
    Lk16
16The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

First by Jesus to the Jewish people
and then by his disciples to the world.

Then those who responded were taught in the letters.
