Why are you laughing at what she has to say? It holds a truth which is evident. You believe what you want to believe but don't go insulting others with ill-mannered smilies attached. You're just like kenrch with your insults.
The difference is that I ask for evidence for others' extrordinary claims. Kenrch just makes extrordinary claims. There is a lake of fire for those who have not 'washed their robes in the blood of Christ'? How do you know this is true? Has god spoken to you directly and told you that the bible is the right book to read, or have you got it wrong and he is leaving a trap for those who believe myths? Or, is all of it invented by humans? You know I believe the latter, and the objective evidence we have does not contradict it.Stuart

Stu That is what you believe, but you have to give us the right to believe what we want to belief, If you don't agree, that is fine, but making fun about it is not fine. You ask us to respect you, but aon the other hand you do not respect us, so get lost.January 15, 2008 at 7:02 pm#78819Not3in1ParticipantStu,
If you get “lost” give me a call with an address of where you are and I'll come pick you up!
January 15, 2008 at 7:20 pm#78821TowshabParticipantIt is one thing to make fun of one's faith, and another to challenge that faith. You can do the same with his atheism, or my deism, but it does not appear that there are many here who are strong enough to do so. You may have a strong faith, but can that faith stand up to scrutiny?
If you were a blind man and someone convinced you cheese was purple, wouldn't you feel slighted should you gain your vision and either learn the truth or believe all yellow things were purple? Minor example, but Stu and I challenge your faith. Stu does it because he sees religion as it stands in the world as harmful, and I do it because Christianity has hijacked the Hebrew scriptures and said many things about YHVH which have no basis. Plus, I too think it is harmful to tell people they will go to hell unless they believe in Jesus. That's forced faith and not healthy.

Mandy I do find it interesting that you found it O.L. that Stu made fun of our prayers.
I will pray for all, that is all. Boy, Oh. Boy that is all I can say.Peace and Love Mrs.
January 15, 2008 at 7:56 pm#78830Not3in1ParticipantI doubt that is all you will say
I clear the air, I do not think it is OK that anyone makes fun of anyone. You missed my point, obviously. Irene, you are a Christian and Stu is not. You told him to “get lost”. I was merely trying to lighten-up that remark a bit. Sometimes you can be harsh and even come accross sounding heartless. Where's the love?
Jesus didn't tell the sinners to “get lost” when they mocked him. He invited them to dinner!
January 15, 2008 at 8:19 pm#78836seek and you will findParticipantMandy I wanted Stu out of the prayer section and tell you the truth, that really should be for Believers only too. I got so upset at Stu after I read thehappymans post and seen how many people are sick and for that I was praying, and He comes along and makes fun of that? I am supposed to laugh at that and not respond at all, you are kidding me right? Everybody lately treats Stu with Kids Glove rather then telling the truth. Did Jesus ever get angry, I think so, remember when He trow the moneymakers out of the Temple. Guess what I consider that Jesus and God lives in me and I am the Temple of God, I did what I felt was right. Stu should not interfere in our Prayer it is rude and uncalled for.
Mandy keep on insulting me. Guess what I invite any nonbeliever if He respects my beliefs, but Stu does not, He makes fun of us all. I will never say that I am sinless either otherwise the truth would not be in me. Nobody is perfect we all fall short of the glory of God. I wish you would think about all of this before you make a reasonable decision.Peace and Love MrsIM4Truth
January 15, 2008 at 10:24 pm#78876Not3in1ParticipantI think this whole division of “Believer's” and “non-Believer's” is ridiculous! Back in Jesus' Day he did not divide those who mocked him from those who followed him. He said that the sheep hear his voice and know him, and follow him. He invited any one who would to follow him. I would image this invitation extended to those who were mocking, spitting and wanting to kill him. He didn't “put them in their place” or ask them to leave an area where he was. He certainly didn't discourage them from hearing prayers by asking them not be where praying was going on. Goodness, women, listen to yourself. I ask again, where is the love?
I don't handle either Tow or Stu with any kind of gloves. But I am interested in treating them exactly like I would treat anyone else. Tow acknowledges that God is real and alive. He is gathering the details about the rest. Stu acknowledges a greater process unfolding in the universe that is most grand and awesome. Yes, Christians have been insulted by these different beliefs. But don't you think Jesus was insulted? What did Jesus say to do? He said to turn the other cheek…….
Anyway, this is how I choose to live my life. How you choose to live yours is entirely up to you. You may call my pointing out lack of love an insult, but it's really an observation. What would happen if you turned in your judgement of Stu for the love of Stu? Do you think you would tell him to “get lost” or want him out of a “believers” area?
Oh, how our hearts have grown cold (myself included). It is to our shame, you know. The greatest Command is to love our neighbors as ourselves. Here's a newsflash everyone…..Stu and Tow are our neighbors! The Command didn't say “….love your neighbor except if you believe he is the anti-Christ by your own interpretation of scripture.”
Dear LORD,
Help us! Where have we gone wrong? How come we are so quick to judge (myself included)? Please give us more of your love today. Help it to overflow into our words, our actions, our treatment of one another. Give us the love you had for us even while we were yet sinners. Show us your love. Forgive us (me) for being unloving. Amen.January 15, 2008 at 11:05 pm#78888TowshabParticipantLuk 6:27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Luk 6:28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.Sounds good, but is it realistic? I've rarely met a Christian who is able to follow this.
January 15, 2008 at 11:06 pm#78889TowshabParticipantI take that back. I have not met a single person who has been able to do that, Christian or otherwise. There may be some out there (Corrie Ten Boom?) but they are a rare breed.

Well, this is exactly what I am trying to do. This is the nature of a post that I just listed. So, thanks for the reminder in scripture. It sure is a goal that everyone should aspire to. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we could follow this beautiful advice?January 16, 2008 at 1:10 am#78897TowshabParticipantTake away my lack of belief in who Jesus was said to be in the GT (and in the hearts of his adoring fans), and you have a pretty darn good teacher underneath all of the lies and pagan insertions into his life. But, if that had not happened, Jesus would have been just another failed messiah who died on a cross, never to be heard from again. Paul was a genius.

But Jesus fellowshipped with believers and communicated with others. He spoke plainly to some and in parables to others.
It is OK, if we do the same.
That is why there is now a Believers Category. So we can progress unhindered in that part.
It is fair enough too.
January 16, 2008 at 4:06 am#78925Not3in1Participantt8,
I hear what you're saying. But the reason I think it's ridiculous is that it's hard to even define what a 'believer” is and is not. At any rate, what is done is done. I don't think it's helped in the progress of learning and sharing at all. In fact it has given some ammunition in the way of judging others – my opinion of course.
January 16, 2008 at 7:12 am#78943StuParticipantHmmm. A lot of very wide ranging stuff in the 'Mandy' thread (did you expect that, Not3in1?!) and now lots of stuff here. I would like to remind a few of the main point I was trying to make. Happyman, perhaps, is a link in a prayer chain and he passes those prayers on to people here. I did restate that intercessory prayer doesn't work, and no one seems to have objected to that. I also admire, and could learn from the compassion and thought that Happyman and others show for those who are sick from a life-threatening illness. I hope that vote of support is passed back to those suffereing, including their families.
As I have stated, and I am interested in reactions to it, is the sheer patronising arrogance and complete rudeness of circulating the names of people who are judged to need 'saving'. How would you all feel if I wrote down your names on a list and passed it to jihad organisations with the hope of your speedy conversion to islam? I wouldn't of course, as that idea is just as repulsive.
Perhaps I have upset someone (again) with a comment about revelation. Revelation itself, as the ultimate fantasy world for the ultra-fundamentalist nutcase disturbs me. Perhaps revelation is meant to disturb, but it is fiction that is in serious danger of becoming self-fulfilling.

Not3in1.Believers is perhaps the most popular term for those who believed in Christ. Christians I think is mentioned once. It was a name given by the world I think.
Believers are those that believe that Yeshua is the messiah and the son of God.
January 16, 2008 at 7:49 am#78948thehappymanParticipantHi Everyone:
Stu and Towhab , I still love you both. Many prayer request are given to me from all over, even Jewish people ask for pray and even Muslins when it is their last resort. Your Boasting and defining my faith in Jehovah and his Son, Jesus, assures me of an assurance as to who and what you stand for. My testimony you would not believe therefore your quest for the destruction of ones belief shall not be addressed. I stand for Christ Jesus my Savior and healer and comforter of this life. I know where I shall be when I am called. These beloved people ask for prayer and you chose to mock it in your fashion.
It is not I who shall be judged for your beliefs, it is you. Towhab you speak of Abba, or Jehovah and you know not your Master ? Stu, you just love to get a rise out of Christians. So be careful Stu, as to what you say, He shall come upon you when you least expect it, and then you shall cry out Abba, Abba.
I shall be praying for you both and I shall pray in Spirit. For mercy to fall upon you both. That we all may come together in unity and respect .
Beloved believers, thank you for your prayers for all these request and may God bless you all.
