I would like to know from those who post on this forum:
How is your prayer life? Do you have an abiding prayer life like we see in the scriptures? Is you life consumed in prayer? Do you sense the nearness of God's presence moment by moment throughout your day?
I don't pray like I used to. There were times in my walk with the Lord where I was always praying…feeling His presence. I would come home from work and the first thing I would do would be to go into the prayer closet and pray. Especially when I was first born again….there wern't enough hours in the day for me to get alone and be with the Father. It was my only joy. But now I am far from that place.
I know I can study the scriptures and doctrine all day long but this does not bring me or anyone else closer to God. I know without really genuine prayer with God (abiding)I am nothing more than a hypocrate. I know in my heart this is where I am with the Lord today. If you remember to…please pray for me.
In Him,

I think we are all given a honeymoon time to establish our relationship with our new Dad and we have to walk then to grow. Nothing changes, we still have to feed on the Word and abide in it and walk in the paths He shows us but without the strong awareness of His closeness. His peace remains.Acts 3

I find it hard to pray in the traditional sense, but I communicate with God pretty much through out the day in my mind and heart. I suppose that is prayer.
But as far as general prayers and praying for others, I am a bit slack.
