I am so excited to find this forum. I have felt alone for along time and it is great to find others who have searched the scriptures themselves for truth! I am sure you have heard this before, but it is a great fealing to know you aren't alone and that you aren't a heretic for believing what the scriptures actually say.

You echo my first posts also, and I still feel it's true. It is great to know that there are others of like belief.Before I found this site I kept questioning my reasoning and wondering if somehow I was missing something (being the only one I knew who arrived at these “new” conclusions). I knew that doctrine was being churned out by others with far more intelligence then I had, but felt sure it was the leading of the Holy Spirit guiding me to those truths which conflicted with what was being taught. Fortunately God did not base it on how smart you are, but by the Spirit He leads us to all truth.

A similar situation happened in the Reformation. People were horrified at the abuse of power the Catholic Church was weilding, not to mention their false teachings and doctrines. This coincided with the invention of the printing press by which bibles were able to be churned out and distributed among the people. They common folk were then in a postion to read for themselves the truth.
Today God is leading many to see the falseness that pervades christianity today. Like the reformation we have a new kind of printing press but much better. It is called the Internet which is the greatest publishing tool in the history of the world.
Instead of a reformation, I think a redefinition is what will happen. We no longer need to be alone in the convictions that God puts on our hearts.
If even a few stand up for the truth, the impact can be global.
