Our Scenes
While the dawn slumbers on the horizon
The night weaves about my face
Like a curtain it drapes the stage,
Waiting for a light to illuminate the play.
From nowhere; a conjures trick, a candle lights the stage.
Background stilhouts take form, sounds drift through the air,
Cars and people bustle along the streets
High pitched laughter hits the air, shouts, from a resturant,
Music comes from a basement club,
People standing, hanging onto walls.
The candle flickers, shapes and sounds fade away.
A new scene appears, a hall filled with people
Shouting and raving, the speaker said something wrong,
Fists and feet crunch into bones
Blood spills onto the floor, the speaker shouts no more,
But the confusion persists.
The candle flickers the confusion fades away.
The third scene comes with candle light and sounds.
A cannon explodes, the rattle of machine guns are heard,
Groaning of tanks, the swish of jets fill the air.
Then quiet suddenly a great explosion
Vibrates through the air.
The candle light does not flicker, does not waver
Only the light is seen.
The gurgle of death and the groaning pain comes to the ear.
The candle flickers the sound reaches deaf ears.
Scene four is peacfull. The morning sun;
Early morning mist begins to lift; exposing lakes;
Trees and mountains.
The candle flickers; no more scenes appear.
The New Light does not fade, it is here to stay!!Lineon

by Mary Oliver, from Red Bird (2008).“Yes, I was the brilliance floating over the snow
and I was the song in the summer lanes, but this was
only the first trick
I had hold of among my other mythologies,
for I also knew obedience: bringing sticks to the nest,
food to the young, kisses to my bride. But don't stop there, stay with me: listen.
If I was the song that entered your heart
then I was the music of your heart, that you wanted and needed,
and thus wilderness bloomed there with all its
followers: gardeners, lovers, people who weep
for the death of rivers. And this was my truest task, to be the
music of the body. Do you understand? for truly the body needs
a song, a spirit, a soul. And no less, to make this work,
the soul has need of a body,
and I am both of the earth and I am of the inexplicable
beauty of heaven
where I fly so easily, so welcome, yes,
and this is why I have been sent, to teach this to your heart.”June 16, 2008 at 8:53 pm#99600IreneParticipantFAMILY, NOW AND FOREVER
In Sanish ” sammos una familia”

We are Family, now and forever
Like Jewels for the kingdom prepare
With our loved ones, we cherish abd treasure
The wonderful memories we share
Reflecting our life-time endeavor
Our faces will shine like the sun
We are Family, now and forever
Together we're growing as oneNo matter what accent or language
No matter what nation or tongue
To friends far and near
The message is clear
Our Family's becoming as one
Begotten and soon to be born
That glorious age soon will down
It's more then a phrase or a dream
It's all that our life's meant to be.Peace and Love Irene

Thanks IreneWhen last did I recieve a personnel message in German?, a long time ago.
I was born in the northen part of Germany, Hamburg.
I live in the South Africa.
A large part of my life I lived in Namibia, used to be South West Africa and before the First World War it was a colony of Germany.
They say it is the oldest desert in the world. Eighty percenet of the country is desert or semi desert. I lived in this desert, sand, sand, sand and more sand and here I came to the feet of our Almighty God and will praise Him forever.Lineon
June 17, 2008 at 4:43 pm#99603IreneParticipantLineon Do you ever go back to your Hometown Hamburg? Since you live in the desert, I would think if I had the opportunity that I would go back, where it is a little nicer. But you have found Christ there of course that is the most important aspect of our lives. God be with you. Wishing you all the best for you, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It was a wild day
The cool wind blowing
The sea ponding the shoreline,
Shooting a thin layer of water
Up the smooth beach,
So fast that it gives a reminder
Of a slithering snake laden with foam
Filling the lagoon ever so slow.
The black winged seagull stood eyeing
Waiting for a morsal,
Tiny Srand Loopers* running along the beach,
With crashing dumpers in the back ground.
Still further into the lagoon;
Pink Flamingoes stand in a line
Kneeing the sand.
Washed up sea bamboo lay every where,
The grey barren mountains
Stand wild and untamed in the distance,
Waiting for God's miriacle,
To shower them with greenery
And God's climate.
Those pink Flamingoes stand like flowers,
Living flowers in this untamed desert.* Afrikaans word for a small bird that runs along the beach.

African sand Loopers, that are tiny Birds. Never heard of them, but I do not live along a Beach either. Are they like the Hummingbirds? We do have those here, they wait in early spring already for their Food that we put up for them in a Bird feeder. Sugar water.

Think nothing more, but about their pay
They trade in shares
Look at life holisticlly
Sit in their fast cars
Live life in their space
Shift their goal posts
Complain about the hectic life.Slaves of the day

Check out all their gadgets
Sit to be seen in News Cafe's
Hide behind their luxuries

Have a good time in their head
