it undermines the doctrines they have spent so much time preparing

do we need it now our modern thoughts are far more relevant

Is there any need for any God? I say Yes, to that. Songs come from my Heart, cause that is what I love to praise God with. God is Love, and in Love I do those Songs to Him our Almighty God.This is from Handel's ” Messiah.” WORTHY IS THE LAMB
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
And hath redeemed us to God by His blood
To receive power, and riches and wisdom, and strength,
And honour, and glory, and blessingBlessing and honour, glory and power
Be unto Him that sittath upon the throne
And unto the Lamb, for ever and ever! Amen.Peace and Love Irene
August 16, 2008 at 8:27 pm#101686NickHassanParticipantHi Irene,
The same self sufficiency that leads men to prefer their own understandings often also causes them to turn of the source of truth, the bible, when there is conflict. Reject the bible and stand on your own understandings and it is an easy choice to reject Jesus and the our revealed God and become as your own god. It is also true that you can have religious activities without any involvement by God at all-and we see that everywhere as powerless men offer pious prating as a substitute for a relationship with the God of power.August 16, 2008 at 9:27 pm#101693IreneParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Aug. 17 2008,08:27) Hi Irene,

What are you saying, that I reject the Word of God in the Bible? Or what?
IreneAugust 16, 2008 at 9:33 pm#101694NickHassanParticipantHi Irene,
I know you struggle with language and this sometimes seems to to misinterpret what I write.
No way do I think those things.August 16, 2008 at 11:22 pm#101703NickHassanParticipantthe greatest expression of false religion is in man's obsession with competition
to set self perfection as your quest to strive to be the greatest and best,
stand above others gives glory now, for how long and are divine eyes impressed
when it is not by might nor by power, by the Spirit is the kingdom's signatureAugust 16, 2008 at 11:55 pm#101706charityParticipantIts is more blessed to have a greater faith
that dose not need to enter thru the Door
that uses Jesus as a Lamb sacrifice?
yet still grace… if one is in need to sacrifice him that he feel allegeable to approach the throne of God?
there in… because it has been made shameful not to be found thankful to except his life as a Lamb sacrificed,
faith is second best, a pun, while carrying you to God, or gods
Because… still some are in need to be lead by one,
not without risk? hope is in the living mediator between Jeuse and Man.
grace grace…. to those with little or no faith
he has and shall carry
for your strength has been consumed,
and the oppressors will come down sweetly- charityAugust 17, 2008 at 8:45 am#101868NickHassanParticipantif man's religions what you're into there are many ancient choices you can make
you can find a god within that just happened to be there, a clever guest
who's pleased to be welcomed though a price or two you'll pay
for the room and for the lodgings for him and his friends
but he'll give you some insights,a word in your head
that are otherworldly, as he's been around since early days
you're the latest mug to give him rooms, all cleaned and tidy too,
or above there are some angels who just love to take your fee
help in sorting out the troubles we all seem to inherit here
if the longer term has interest beyond the daily dollar
then a book reveals another harder narrow path
to take, offers better value but
it costs your life.August 17, 2008 at 5:44 pm#101884IreneParticipantWhich will not be moved.
I, the Rock, I the River, I the Tree
I am yours-your Passages have been paid.Lift up your faces, you have a piercing need
For this bright morning dawning for you.History, despite its wrenching pain,
Cannot be unlived, and if faced
With courage, need not be lived again.Lift up your eyes upon
The day breaking for you.Give birth again
To the dream.Womem, children, men,
Take it into the palms of your hands.Mold it into the shape of your most
Private need. Sculpt it into
The image of your most public self.
Lift up your hearts
Each new hour holds new chances
For new beginnings.Do not be wedded forever
To fear, yoked eternally
To bruitishness.The horizon leans forward,
Offering you space to place new steps of change
Here, on the pulse of this fine day
You may have the courage
To look up and out upon me, the
Rock, the River, the Tree, your country. No less to Midas than the mendicant.
Here on the pulse of this new day
You may have the grace to look up and out
And into your sister's eyes, into
Your brothers face, your country
And say simply
Very simply
With hope
And Love
Forever more, I am here.Peace and Love Irene

but why search for goodness in man?August 17, 2008 at 10:51 pm#101912NickHassanParticipanti met two sweet ladies on my doorstep
who kindly offered salvation by human works
though working very hard to please our God, it's true
the plan they were offering was new and not the wording of our king
they were selling what her masters had told them
second best, sold verbatim
they had no ears only mouths to speak
they had grasped a hold of speculation and reason
lies mixed with truth remaining lies, formed by human compromise
and the the use of logic sadly misapplied
could not save from man's fate
would not lead them through the gate so
why sell to others untruth, despite the use of inferencial glue
why not preach the gospel we were given
it comes from heaven.August 17, 2008 at 11:58 pm#101931NickHassanParticipanti found a revelation when i read the book today

How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me?
How long shall mine enemies triumph over me?Consider and hear me, O Lord my God
Consider and hear me, O Lord my God
Lighten mine eyes, lighten mine eyes
Lest I sleep the sleep of the death.Let not mine enemies say: I have prevailed against him
Prevailed against him
For my trust is in Thy mercy, Thy mercy and faithfulness
Thy mercy and faithfulness.Stand up, O Lord, in Thy might! Arise!
Judge Thou my cause!
Gird me with strength unto the battle
With strength unto the battle
And I will praise Thee, ans I will praise Thee
Will praise Thee upon the Harp.Stand up, O LORD, in Thy might! Arise!
Judge Thou my cause!
And I will praise and magnify Thy Name Forever more.Peace and Love Irene
