    HOW EXELLENT IS THY NAME

How excellent in all the earth, Lord our LORD is thy name,
Who hast Thy glory far advanced above the starry frame.
From mouths of babes and Infants, Lord, strength by Thee is ordained.
So that Thine enemies be stilled, thy vengeful foes restrained.

When I look up unto the heavens who Thine own fingers framed,
Unto the moon and to the stars, which where by Thee ordained.
Then say I what is man that Thou should be mindful of him?
Or what, the Son of man, that Thou so kind to him should be.

For Thou has made Him little less, then the angels above,
With glory and with dignity, with honor crown his head.
Appointed Lord of all Thy works, all things under your feet,
All sheep and oxen, yea , and beast that in the field do stray.

NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER

God's people are reminded to stir up the gift He gives.
His Spirit it swells in us, because He lives, we also live.

The Comforter, the Father gives in Jesus Name.
Brings all things to remembrance, but we all must fan the flame.

My People I leave with you, and with you I always be,
Don't let your Heart be troubled, trust in God and trust in me.

    Refrain:
Not of fear, but of God's greatness and His Love and sound accord.
Not by your own might or power, by my Spirit, says the Lord.

    Pray
    I hear you say
    All day
    Your life away.

    Pray pray pray
    I hear you say
    Talk to God
    He will listen
    He will answer your prayer.

    Pray your words
    Flood your words
    Our God will hear
    Only through one ear.

    I say be still
    Be silent.
    Our God is Talking
    Listen
    Don't be alarmed
    You gave youself
    By being baptised
    He knows you are His
Our God wants to talk to us.

    Be still
    Be silent
    And listen.

    Fight the GOOD fight
    Let brother be with sister
    Let sister be with sister
    And brother with brother.

    Boys are boys
    Figtht and cuss
    Sticks and stones
    Words will surely hurt me.

    Will there always be strife??
    Lord Jesus PLEASE come!!!

    I'LL WALK WITH GOD

I'll walk with God from this day on,
His helping hands I'll lean upon.
This is my prayer, my humble plea
May the Lord be ever with me.

There is no death, tho eyes grow dim,
There is no fear when I'm near to Him.
    I'll lean on Him forever,
    And He'll forsake me never.

He will not fail me as long as my faith is strong
Whatever road I may walk along.

I'll walk with God, I'll taske His hand,
I'll talk wth God, He'll understand
I'll pray to Him, each day to Him,
And He'll hear the words that I say.
His hand will guide my throne and rod
And I'll never walk alone while I walk with God.

After reading a few controversial threads here this week end, I thought of this poem I had not read since a child.  We never can truly know another's suffering and we should be careful in our judgments when we assume that no one else has pain like ours because of this reason or that.

    Richard Corey

WHENEVER Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
     Clean favored, and imperially slim.

And he was always quietly arrayed,
     And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
“Good-morning,” and he glittered when he walked.

And he was rich—yes, richer than a king,
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.

So on we worked, and waited for the light,
     And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head

Cato I do not know if I should thank you for this poem or not. I like something positive and a praising to God Poem. After reading yours, I do not feel like you succeeded in doing so. Please the next time show us more Love, towards God Almighty.

    In Noah's time,
    War for ever more
    Misused and abused
    Hate and denial,
    In our time.

    In Noah's time,
    Defiance for law
    Pride for being a whore
    Holier-than-thou,
    In our time.

    In Noah's time,
The Lord could take no more
His earth is in unclear Light
'Man is to be wiped out'
    He said.

    In our time,
    God is well pleased
    Jesus brought his Light
The New City comes with joy
    The Lord is adored.

    Dear Lady,

I assume you read the preface to the poem?  The poet IMO conveyed the idea that though we may look with envy on others who appear to have all we may want in life, for them it may be quite empty for riches, at least those that last, are of the spirit and for the man who was the object of envy and imagination his life was obviously so lacking in spirit that he despaired in a way that even a hard working poor man could not imagine.  A lesson perhaps, thought provoking I hope.

I think by your reply both the poet and I missed the mark in communication.  I apologize if Mr. Arlington and I offended or distressed for neither was itended.  I thought though ironic and a bit dark it served a positive message.  What say others?

    Cato,

No one knows the heart of another man. It's all speculation, at best.

    Yes, it's true.

    Hi Cato
I would have made a few changes in last verse by adding capitals?

So on we worked, and waited for the Light
    And went without Meat, and cursed the Bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

    Peace+Love this is reality
    This is happening
    On our door step
    We cannot wish it away
That is why I hope our Lord Jesus comes back soon!!

    Imagine how free
    And how relieved you'll feel!
    Becoming an atheist like me
    Has much appeal
Don't pray to a snivelling god
When you think you need a hand.
When you feel an achin' in your bod,
Try the soothing sounds of the Dave Matthews Band.

    Don't bother attending church
Or wonder what Jesus would do.
If guidance is for what you search,
You'd be better off consulting the loo.

    Don't waste your time
    Worrying about heaven and hell.
Enjoy yourself while in your prime
For there is no afterlife in which to dwell.

    Do mind your ethics.
    Do appreciate all art.
    Do enjoy leisurely breakfasts.
    Do philosophise with Sartre.

    Do sleep in on Sundays.
    Do decorate a holiday tree.
Do open your mind to others' ways.
Do teach your mind to be free.

If you cease to believe in a god in the sky
What harm could there possibly be?
You might feel quite alone, but why?
At least no one's watching you pee.

You won't be struck by a lightening bolt
    If you become deity free.
    In fact you'll feel a mind-numbing jolt
And enter the realm of reality.

One Day you will see, and until then: Good riddance, Adieus, Auf Wiedersehn, Good Bye. Your Poem is uncalled for with us Christians, there is no other Atheist on here, so please I would appreciate if you at least stay in the unbelievers section.

    RIVERS OF LIVING WATER
In the last Day, that great day of the feast
Jesus stood and He cried aloud
To the Jews, and the Pharisees, and the chief priests
    He addressed the assembled crowd
If any man thirst, let him come unto Me
      And he'll never thirst again
And from out His mouth, living water shall flow
      everlasting life for all men

      CHOIRUS

Rivers of living water shall flow
God's gift, the whole creation will show
    Peaceful and free from fear
    Gentle, and crystal clear
One day from New Jerusalem shall go
Flowing, at last the whole world will know that
God gives to those who freely receive
    Rivers, if you believe

Jesus has said let him freely partake
Of the water of life I give
Just like a spring where the waters don't fail
He will flourish as long a he lives
When the fountain of all living water returns
He will let the oppressed go free
And the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God
As the waters cover the sea.

    I hear screaming
    sobbing
    In this vacant empty room
With a door O! so small
    Becomeing smaller
    As eyes flutter and flash.
    Queens and kings
    Presidents and first ladies
    Walk and talk lavishly
    in this room
    Bedeck it with deeds
    So that all wo/men come
    into this room
    Running from empty corner
    to empty corner
Seeing the same in this corner
    as in that corner
    Pursueing confusion
    Wanting it for ever.
This vacant empty room has no truth
    Jesus is history.

A sleepy dog always running backwards and forwards
    A little climbing
    A little side steeping
A Little Poking around in the most out-of-the-way corners,

    While others
A way of escaping the hill
That takes up all the time
    Narrows the way
    Shuts the doors
    Silences the mouths
    Bedecks itself with flowers
Till it pushes up daisy’s on the agreed meeting ground.
