Over the next few days, I will be attempting to merge the forum with the rest of the site. This will mean one single sign on for Heaven Net and should encourage more new users to participate in the forum.
Please note: Some of your posts in the next few days might not be included in the new forum because I have to take a copy of the database and that will not include new posts.
This forum will still be available so you can copy any new posts from here to there.
Lots of issues! 🙂 First, where is the “Quote” button, so I can quote the other guy’s post and respond to it?
Where are the bold, underline, color, etc. functions?
After making a response, I am taken back to the very first page of the thread – instead of to the page where my newest post is. Is that supposed to happen?
Where are the “Preferences”, so I can set my font color, avatar, and signature?
There are also a lot of functions I’m not familiar with, such as “Move”, “Split”, “Trash”, and “Spam”. I suppose I’ll need to take an orientation class. 🙂
(I’m not complaining, just wondering if some of these things are still in the works……. and yet to come.)
Also, will I be able to search my own name, like in the last forum, to see the topics on which I commented in the last week, month, or whatever? I just searched mikeboll64 on the main site search, but it came back with no results.
You should be able to see the word Reply above every post. You can hit that, and it should quote the post for you. Also, I added in a toolbar now. But will look around for a better one.
Will also look into being taken to the first page, rather than the last one.
As for the “Move”, “Split”, “Trash”, and “Spam” links, they are seen by Moderators. If you see a spam post, then spam it. If the post is legit but abusive, you can trash it. Split the post can be useful when a thread goes off topic and you want to spawn a new topic from it. Leave that one for now.
I will be improving things in time. That is the plan.
On your members page where people can Message you are a bunch of links regarding your activity on the site. Click the heading called forums and it will display every forum you have started.
Likewise, you can see this info for the other members.

Also, on the main part of the site, you can see the last 5 topics and posts, as well as who is online.

Further, when you click on “Forums” on your member page, you can also view all your forum replies.
