Hi,
Acts 4:12
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”There is no gospel of Paul.
There is no salvation in his nameJanuary 21, 2009 at 8:17 pm#118598chosenoneParticipantNH.
Who said it was Pauls gospel? Your imagination? Paul preached by Gods grace.
Let me refresh your mind, Ro.15:15-16. Yet more daringly do I (Paul) write to you, in part, as prompting you, because of the grace being given to me from God,
16 for me to be the minister of Christ Jesus for the nations, acting as a priest of the evangel of God, that the approach present of the nations may be becoming well received, having been hallowed by holy spirit. He preached the gospel of “Grace”. (not the gospel of the 'kingdom', that Jesus taught Israel.)

Scriptuire speaks often of THE GOSPEL.

After they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch,Acts 15:7

THE LORD JESUS AND PAUL DISTINGUISHEDAt the outset of our inquiry, let us then discriminate that which the Lord Jesus proclaimed to Israel: the kingdom of God. What He said of it, we must retain in the context in which He gave it. Paul preached to the nations the evangel of God’s grace, gathering the saints who are the ecclesia which is the body of Christ. All that the Lord Jesus said, His words as well as His figures, accords with the object of His mission to Israel and finds its correspondences in the Hebrew prophecies, which relate to Israel’s establishment as God’s holy nation on earth. But what Paul says has a more extensive horizon and deals first with blessings among the celestials for the saints, yet also develops matters related to the universe outside the earth.
Israel’s blessings then, are upon the earth; they focus Messiah’s glory on this terrestrial scene. The blessings of the ecclesia are celestial and focus Christ’s greater glories, related to His allotment of the universe. Birth is the figure which conveys to us what makes Israel’s sons fit for the earthly, millennial sphere. But creation is the figure necessary to indicate the new and radical features of the ways of God which are not centred in Israel.
With these distinctions made plain, we are ready to consider the difference between the figures and, at the same time, to develop their respective connections and the revelations which range along with them.cpc.
Blessings.

There is one kingdom, the kingdom of God and His Christ.
Christ does not have a dual allotment of glory and neither do men.
There is no advantage to gentiles over the olive tree into which they are grafted.
There is no distinction between Paul and his Master or their message which unites and does not divide.January 24, 2009 at 7:29 am#118919chosenoneParticipantNH.

Chosenone,
Thanks for copying this. I was banned from an “evangelical” forum for teaching Paul's gospel of grace. I was labeled an “enemy of Christ and His sheep”. Yet there is no Scripture that says that gentiles were Christ's sheep.thinker

Chosenone,
I was not aware of the Colossains 1:25 statement. Thanks again.BTW, people don't want to accept that God's truth was revealed progressively. They think that all was true all at once. But Jesus said to His disciples, “He [the Spirit] will guide you into all truth. This took 50 years.

7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

Good point, that Gods truth was revealed progressively. Nick seems to think that no new truths have been revealed since he, Jesus, preached “the gospel of the kingdom”. He believes , in error, that Pauls epistles are just a repeat of the “kingdom” gospel, when in fact it is a new gospel, the gospel of “the grace of God”.
Thanks for your input.God Bless.

Our good friend Nick is well meaning but wayward (Love ya Nick). Paul said several times that the gospel was NOW being revealed.Rom. 1:16-17: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. For in it the righteousness of God is being revealed…” (the participle “is being revealed” indicates on going present tense).
Rom. 3:21: “But NOW the righteousness of God apart from the law is being revealed”.
Romans 16:25-26: “Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but NOW is being manifested… (Paul said that it was his own gospel, “MY” gospel in the sense that it was revealed to no other man. So Paul is the origin of the Gospel he preached via direct revelation from Christ)).
Eph. 3:3-5: “How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery…by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, which in ages past was not made known to the sons of men, as it NOW has been revealed…that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs” (This is very clear. Paul said that his knowledge was the “mystery of Christ”. This means that Christ had not taught it while here on earth. If Christ had taught it then it was not a “mystery” that was “now being revealed”. Christ revealed the Gospel for Jews and Gentiles alike to Paul).
What about all these clear statements Nick?

I have no problem with Paul being charged with the further revelation of the depths of the gospel.
The RIGHTEOUSNESS of God is revealed and mysteries manifested. But it was not a new gospel.
His views on such things are well shown in Gal 1January 27, 2009 at 10:19 pm#119368KangarooJackParticipantNick said:

Paul said that his gospel was “kept secret” since the world began. How can you say it wasn't new? And Galatians is about Paul's faith alone gospel!Again, if Paul's gospel was “kept secret” then it was indeed new. Add to this the fact that Hebrews warned the Jewish Christians to LEAVE the doctrines and the elementary principles of Christ. Why do you resist this?

January 27, 2009 at 10:35 pm#119369NickHassanParticipantHi TT,
Indeed deeper aspects of that divine gospel were revealed in Paul's expositions. But those truths were not new but revealed by this anointed man at the appropriate time.
The gospel is of the kingdom and Paul's task was to expound it and teach those brought into that kingdom since the time of John.
Lk16
16The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. - AuthorPosts
