Wanted to share this inspiring video.
December 26, 2007 at 9:22 am#76133IM4TruthParticipantt8 Thank you with tears in my eyes. Music and singing is one of my talents that God had given to me as a young person and i did use that talent in Choirs. Wunderbar. Wonderful what a voice. Thanks.
Peace and Love Mrs.
December 26, 2007 at 10:36 am#76134ProclaimerParticipantOh!. How appropriate for me to post it then.
One of my best friends is a Tenor and is now in Europe pursuing his career. But I admit to not really being a fan of opera, but after that powerful performance from Paul Potts, I have reconsidered.
I copied this from another website regarding Paul Potts:
In the space of just seven days he went from selling mobile phones in Wales to winning amateur talent show 'Britain's Got Talent', and signing a one million pound record deal thereafter.
Potts' rendition of this classical piece has been viewed on video upload site 'YouTube' tens of millions of times and is among YouTube's all-time most viewed videos.
It's a real rags to riches tale. Potts was $70,000 in debt, had suffered years of bullying and was recovering from a serious motorbike accident.
Now he has a massive recording contract and a huge singing career ahead of him. His first album 'One Chance' went to number one spot in England and Ireland and is now number one in New Zealand as well.
He is suppose to be coming to New Zealand in April and I might go and see him.

December 30, 2007 at 7:51 pm#76322IM4TruthParticipantt8 I just let our Son listen to Paul Potts. He loves Him and so do we. I am really surprised that nobody else has said anything about Him. Not to many Opera Lovers on here, I guess.
Peace and Love Mrs. GREAT
December 30, 2007 at 8:32 pm#76324davidParticipantI have always loved opera. It is because of moments like this, and the feeling generated from such moments.
January 2, 2008 at 8:49 am#76417ProclaimerParticipantThe funny thing for me is that I have tried to love opera because my best friend is a Tenor but I had to be honest and say that it did nothing for me.
But I have changed my mind. I like it now. All it took was one good performance and for me to be in the right place to receive it.
Isn't that funny? That is how I came to God. I had no interest in a belief system as I thought they were all based on ignorance and non-intelligence. But when I was in the place to hear the message (gospel), and someone came to me who represented that message well, then I became a believer, (with the help of some miracles that God did for me to prove he existed).
I thank God for his mercy for it is great.
January 4, 2008 at 4:31 am#76526IM4TruthParticipantt8 Some Miracles, that is great. That reminds me when our Granddaughter was 2 years old they lived on the second Floor of an Apartment Building. One day our granddaughter climbed on top of a grill that was on the Balcony and jumped down. Our Daughter ran screaming down the steps. 2 Men were seen leaving the scene when others arrived. They already had called the Ambulance, but there was not one scratch on our Granddaughter. To make sure they took her to the Hospital, but all test were negative. There are Angels watching over us. They did that day with our Granddaughter. Praise the Lord and our Heavenly Father for everything that He has bestowed upon us. God is so good.
Peace and Love Mrs.
February 1, 2008 at 7:48 pm#80580seek and you will findParticipantI am bringing this tread up, because it is so positive and right now I could stand something positive. With a Song in my Heart always makes things look so much brighter. How great our God is that He set it in motion that we respond with Love and Joy. Even little babies stop crying when you sing to them. Just listend to the tape again, and I want to thank you again for putting this tape on here.
Peace and Love Mrs.

God did miracles to 'prove he existed'?!You did not write that when asked in another thread.

February 13, 2008 at 7:18 am#81301ProclaimerParticipantGod can do what he wants in people's lives and he is merciful. But he generally doesn't appear out if the sky and say “Gidday I am God” in order for men to believe that he exists.
Men should know that he exists, but many are in deep darkness as regards to insight.
But you only see such things when you have faith or are seeking the truth. God proved that he existed because I genuinely sought the truth. I genuinely wondered if he existed and was I was ready to change my life is he did.
But if a person doesn't care for the truth or will not change from his evil ways with the knowledge that God exists, then that person will likely remain in his darkness.
