I think Paradise is the surrounds of the river of life. The tree of life in Eden meant that Eden was part of Paradise as the tree was probably watered by the river of life, hence eating its fruit gave eternal life.

    John 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

I was researching paradise and it seems that it is liked to the third heaven in 2 Corinthians 2.  This is consistent with the Secound book of Enoch who states both it and Hades are located there.

Revelation 2 does declare that the tree of life is in Paradise.  We also know it is in the Garden of Eden.

The Kabalist tradition the Garden of Eden is in the third heaven.

In the common Greek Language Paradise means Garden and is applied to like areas.

According to wikipedia it is know that Paradise is used to refer to the Garden of Eden.  Here is my source.

    To all

Paradise is a place were there is no sin, no evil at all, it will be what the garden was, God had given Adam and Eve.
Jesus promised the thief on the cross, he would be in Paradise with him, why not the other? because it takes a repentant attitude to be in paradise, God's kingdom. That does not mean the other will never make it, he too will have a chance to ask for forgiveness.
Paul had a vision of being in Paradise, and thought he was in heaven.
When Jesus begins to reign here on earth, the restoration will begin, and it will be finished by the end of the millennium.

not yet there still work to be done after the 1000 years read Rev;Rev 20:7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
Rev 20:9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

    The Dead Are Judged

Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Rev 20:13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
Rev 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
Rev 20:15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

    The New Jerusalem

Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
Rev 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
Rev 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Rev 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Rev 21:6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
Rev 21:7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery….

Are you aware that the Bible, especially prophesies, scriptures are not in sequence?
Ask yourself, how can the dead be judged “AFTER” the millennium, “AFTER” Satan has been released to deceive the nation, “AFTER” he is cast into the lake of fire? “HE”, Satan, is the “LAST” enemy to be destroyed.
The New Jerusalem is the spiritual city for the saints, it is the mansion Jesus said he would go and prepare for them. It is the city Jesus and the saints, kings and priests, will rule from.

Rev 21:7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

All who overcome sin, as they are being taught during the millennium, will inherit the kingdom of God, will live in it for ever.

Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery….

All those that fail to repent and obey, will be cast into the lake of fire, everlasting destruction; again this happens during the millennium.
How can God possibly dwell with men before all sin and evil is removed; think about it.

    Hi WU,
    Where is paradise?

    Nick.

    By adding two plus two=four,
    paradise once was in Jerusalem.
The tree of life was in the spot where the Holy of Holies
    was in the temple.
The tree of knowledge of good and evil was in the court.
The sacrifised animals are always killed outside the city.
Jesus was crucified outside the city,a place called golgotha.

    Jerusalem will be paradise revisited.

    Nick.

That is for the seekers to find out.
Paradise then, could never be in irac,or some other country.
All started in salem, the city of God.
Melchisedek was the first king and high priest of salem.
Dont forget the great flood that changed the topography.

The Bible speaks of “Jerusalem above”, “heavenly Jerusalem” or “new Jerusalem.”

    (2 Peter 3:13)
But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.

Righteousness will dwell in both the “new heavens” AND “new earth.”

I would consider the new earth, to be the paradise the Bible speaks of.  Adam and Eve lived in Eden.
The Septuagint rendered the Hebrew word for “garden” (gan) by the Greek word pa·ra′dei·sos. To this fact we owe our association of the English word “paradise” with the garden of Eden.
The garden of Eden was paradise.

God's purpose for mankind and the earth have not changed.

    (Matthew 5:5)
“Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.

    Ya. That looks right.

    I. among the Persians a grand enclosure or preserve, hunting ground, park, shady and well watered, in which wild animals, were kept for the hunt; it was enclosed by walls and furnished with towers for the hunters

    II. a garden, pleasure ground

    A. grove, park

III the part of Hades which was thought by the later Jews to be the abode of the souls of pious until the resurrection: but some understand this to be a heavenly paradise

IV, the upper regions of the heavens. According to the early church Fathers, the paradise in which our first parents dwelt before the fall still exists, neither on the earth or in the heavens, but above and beyond the world

    Hi,

    By death I mean
    Rev 20
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

    Hi,
Does this relate to the second meeting between Jesus and the thief
    1Peter 3
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

    19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

    Hi WU,
    In another thread you said
“Isaiah 11 and 65 if understood; is clearly speaking of paradise. Yet the saints will be resurrected in spirit, and will rule. Have you ever asked the question: rule over whom?
And who will be living in paradise?”

How is it clear that the verses speak of paradise??
