If the JWs suffer more does that prove anything
-that they are the top followers
-or just those with the worst PR record?2 CORINTHIANS 11:23-27
“Are they ministers of Christ? I reply like a madman, I am more outstandingly one: in labors more plentifully, in prisons more plentifully, in blows to an excess, in near-deaths often. By Jews I five times received forty strokes less one, three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I experienced shipwreck, a night and a day I have spent in the deep; in journeys often, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from highwaymen, in dangers from [my own] race, in dangers from the nations, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers among false brothers, in labor and toil, in sleepless nights often, in hunger and thirst, in abstinence from food many times, in cold and nakedness.”April 2, 2007 at 10:38 pm#47182NickHassanParticipantHi david,
So are JWs super christians because they are unpopular do you think?April 2, 2007 at 10:40 pm#47185davidParticipantQuote Hi david,
So are JWs super christians because they are unpopular do you think? No, but rather, they are unpopular because they are Christians or follow christ.
Why the unpopularity?
JOHN 15:17-20
“If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU. Bear in mind the word I said to YOU, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also.”April 2, 2007 at 10:42 pm#47188NickHassanParticipantHi david,
They must be the only ones then in your view-superior christians.
Is God impressed with such claims?April 2, 2007 at 10:46 pm#47192davidParticipantQuote They must be the only ones then in your view-superior christians.

Question and please actually answer it:
Was God “impressed” with Paul's words:2 CORINTHIANS 11:23-27

A yes or no if you can't manage a sentence, please.

You have to stop being selfish and thinking of only yourself. I am sure you know JW's are not the only ones hated in the whole world. If you do then I suggest you keep searching and look outside the box.
250 Million Christians will be persecuted in 2007
200 Million christians persecuted WorldWide
These do not speak of JW's. I can post more but I think 4 is enough from a list of at least 10 pages full of 'Christians who are Persecuted'.

In fact I've asked others about there experiences several times, from the very first post Phoenix. It is Nick who keeps asserting that I'm making such claims. All I'm stating is this fact:
“In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted.”
Phoenix, notice my closing words in my first post:
“I’m wondering how these truths have played out in your lives.
I'm wondering what has brought the persecution on and how you face it?
“April 3, 2007 at 6:11 am#47263davidParticipantThis is an interesting scripture.
(James 1:2-4) “Consider it all joy, my brothers, when YOU meet with various trials, 3 knowing as YOU do that this tested quality of YOUR faith works out endurance. 4 But let endurance have its work complete, that YOU may be complete and sound in all respects, not lacking in anything.”
It seems that trials tests the quality of our faith.

Hi david1Pe 2:19 For this [is] thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
1Pe 2:20 For what glory [is it], if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God.Even just to suffer for faith knowing you are acceptable with faults to God

Hi DavidYes I saw that. But I also saw you say this too.
Quote I'm curious to know why other groups are objects of hatred “by all the nations.”
I know that people dislike JW's for a variety of reasons.
I'm curious to know why other groups are persecuted or looked down on.From what I have read briefly of those sites I pasted in the previous post, it was for the sake of just believing in Christ or just being a Christian why they were being persecuted.

Those from the second resurrection facing the judgement of the nations in Mt25 are found to be in Christ, not because of any knowledge, repentance or commitment, but because of their actions towards his brothers. God looks at the heart.Acts 10:31

Hi Nick:Repentance is followed by obedience to God's Word.

Not according to mt25
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
They were surprised to be saved.
We should know of our salvation. - AuthorPosts
