Isaiah 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
The king of Babylon is Satan. Satan is the oppressor behind everything. The golden city is his kingdoms. He controlled all the kingdoms from the first to the last. God calls this kingdom today “Babylon the Great” because false religion and strange doctrines came out of her (Ninevah) and spread throughout the world existing even until today but on a much broader scale, …not just amongst “the pagans” but infiltrated into the christian nations also who had access to the truth but refused it.Isaiah 14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
This can only happen when Christ returns, and destroys all the kingdoms of the world (their power and influence) and replaces rule with his Kingdom, which he will rule with a rod of iron. The laws will be changed. Christ sets the laws now. One law for all, a holy law. A law to be obeyed for peace and salvation, not for oppression.Isaiah 14:6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
This is Satan of course, who is behind the injustice of the world today. His rule only brought forth oppression.Isaiah 14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
This can only happen during the thousand years. The whole earth will be at rest, because Satan is put in prison for a thousand years. People will see the difference when he is goneIsaiah 14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
A metaphor. No more war. No more devestating the land for profit and gain.Isaiah 14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Satan not in hell yet, because he is only in prison for the thousand years. Hell awaits him, because when he is let out, he has a job to do, and this job of gathering Gog and Magog to battle will be his final doing…..So in the meantime hell is just waiting for him and his children until all fulfilled first.Isaiah 14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
The people will marvel, where is he? where is his power now? ..because they experience a world without him for a thousand years..He is powerless and cannot meddle.Isaiah 14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
Satan sits on top of death, and is covered with death. Death is his destiny and final judgement. - AuthorPosts
