Is it ok to stay neutral on this issue according to the word of God?
June 29, 2007 at 9:55 pm#58394NickHassanParticipantHi ACC,
No.
Follow Jesus
Scripture cannot be broken.
If you love the Word of God as he did
Then you will hate to see it used, twisted and abused.
Such is trinity.
Abhor it as evil.June 29, 2007 at 11:22 pm#58395acertainchapParticipantOh so you are against it.
June 30, 2007 at 12:17 am#58396NickHassanParticipantHi ACC,
Is it written?
If it was I would believe it.
No one has found it written so far.June 30, 2007 at 6:53 am#58397Not3in1ParticipantChap,
I would not of spent the last 5 years of my life studying the Trinity if I didn't think it was important to choose it, or discard it.
We all have to answer the question that the Lord asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?”
Each of these groups answer that question differently: Trinitarians, Unitarians, Librarians, JW's………..
1. Trinitarians believe that God is made up of three persons. Jesus is an incarnation of God himself.
2. Most Unitarians believe that the Father is the only true God, and Jesus Christ is his only begotten Son.
3. Librarians – I don't know, and…..
4. JW's believe that Jesus preexisted as Michael the archangel and then was incarnated. You see, IT MATTERS what you believe about God and who his Son is.
I don't believe “neutrality” was an option for Peter when Jesus looked into his eyes and asked ,”Who do YOU say that I am?”
Chap, what's your answer?
July 3, 2007 at 1:44 pm#58398acertainchapParticipantLet me set the record straight, now I don't believe in the trinity but I know that that God the Father, God the Son and the holy Spirit do exist. I have Scripture.
Ephesians 1 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints in Ephesus,[a] the faithful in Christ Jesus:2Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he[c] predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 8that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9And he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
11In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.Thanksgiving and Prayer
15For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, 20which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.July 3, 2007 at 7:29 pm#58399NickHassanParticipantHi ACC,
Of course the Spirit of God exists as God is the living God and life is of the Spirit.
People get confused because God is in heaven and does everything through His Spirit.
Wrong reading of scripture about the amazing Spirit has led men to separate God from His own spirit.July 3, 2007 at 7:49 pm#58400acertainchapParticipantPeace bro!!!
July 6, 2007 at 10:59 am#58401ProclaimerParticipantAs far as truth and lies go, neutrality is not an option.
However if you are undecided on an issue, then by all means do not teach or advance anything till you are sure.
How will you know if you are sure what is true? The Spirit will lead you into all truth.
So knowing God is paramount. Being led by his Spirit is what will help you to decide.
In the meantime listen to what people say and see if that is what the Spirit is also saying. Of course scripture will witness of the truth too. If the Spirit and scripture do not agree, then you something is wrong and you need clarification on reconciling what the truth is. Either your understanding of the scripture(s) is wrong or you are listening to the wrong spirit. If someone teaches and speaks contrary to that of what the Spirit is saying and what scripture teaches, then remember that person and be wary of them.
So if neutrality to you is where you decide to be until you know the truth, then I think that is good. If neutrality means choosing to not take a stand at all and that is your decision regarding this issue, then I don't think you should proceed with that.
The Trinity doctrine is either truth or lie. So tread carefully and listen to what the Spirit is saying and what the scriptures are teaching.
If you heart is like that of an innocent child, then God will gladly reveal his truth to you. If you get all puffed up in knowledge, then you know that God will hide things from you.
The ball is in your court.
