The reason you don't understand the scriptures can only be two reasons… one … you either don't have the Spirit… or two… you have wandered so far into error and deception you can no longer read the Word and understand what it means.

Where can we find God himself giving instructions To Nehemiah?
As he did with the other prophets!
He seems to be working against the convent of the sure mercies of David.
The kingdom that Christ had to reestablish;
Nehemiah the King of Babylon’s cup bearer. Serving his king ripping scalps of people
With authority to put to death if they did not obey.
Where by if mercy had been a Law so would David had to enforce penalty; yet mercy is just as it sounds; and was not made a Law
Nehemiah invested in the wrong statues and judgments.
Even those that were not Israel were able to receive.God bless

Why did they do these things from a book and not Gods feet?

Neh 8:14 And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Mat 23:4

Hi C,
We cannot put on the mind of God so we cannot be commanded to do so.
God builds.
It is the work of God not our own.
God gives those in Christ the mind of Christ if they feed on the bread of life that gives them life eternal.
Thus we are transformed by the renewing of our minds unto the mind of Christ.
The work of God too is to write His laws on our hearts.
What must happen happens.
The man of iniquity will be revealed. - AuthorPosts
