Greetings Messenger…..I watched the video and the obvious has been brought to fore….and that is that Jesus is a Jew…where I get confused is on the emphasis…meaning, is the focus on his geneologic roots or on the practice and adherence of the jewish faith….Perhaps the clearafication of this is in the message and I missed it…Iam extremely interested in the connection of Jesus to the Abramic era in scripture…November 23, 2010 at 9:54 pm#226190LightenupParticipantWelcome KingdomMessage,
Jesus came as a Jew, true. His purpose was to make one new man, not Jew, not Gentile but all united in Him.Rom 10:12-13
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”
NASUGal 3:28-29
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.NASUCol 3:8-15
8 But now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.
9 Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices,
10 and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him —
11 a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
NASUJust my thoughts…thanks for your video!
