Hi BD,“Christians” believe that Jesus is the “Son of God”,
while muslims DON'T believe that God has a son.Quote

Pierre God does not have a LITERAL son, do you think He had sex with Mary?If you say no then you understand that Jesus is not His literal son.

According to 2:116, it is blasphemy to say that Allah begot a son. If that were true, He shold have had a wife (6:101), and His son would have been of the same kind as Himself; whereas Allah Almighty is One, with no one else like unto Him (112:4). Begetting is an animal act which goes with sex. How can it be consistent with our conception of One who is above all Creatures? If such a blasphemous thought were possible, as that Allah wanted some one else to help Him, He could have chosen the best of His creatures instead of lowering Himself to an animal act. But glory to Allah !. He is above such things !. His Unity is the first thing that we have to learn about Him. As He is Omnipotent, He requires no creatures to help Him or bring other creatures to Him.January 25, 2012 at 7:25 am#274272Ed JParticipantQuote (bodhitharta @ Jan. 25 2012,16:30) Quote (Ed J @ Jan. 25 2012,15:11) Quote (bodhitharta @ Jan. 25 2012,09:46) Quote (Ed J @ Jan. 25 2012,02:59) Hi Everyone, Most Muslims consider the hadiths to authoritative, but

I don't really study unorthodox teachings. If it is not in the Quran I generally don't put much emphasis on it.It's like books that claim Jesus was married if I have not read that in the Bible or Quran it doesn't matter whether it is true or not because I wouldn't put much energy into the notion

I don't even have an opinion either way. If it is not in the Quran I don't speculate about it. If it was vital it would have been written in the Quran. That is my positionFebruary 13, 2012 at 7:45 am#277722Ed JParticipantHi BD,

The hadits are called the “sayings of the prophet” they are based on heresay and no where are they called inspired to my knowledge. They may very well be inspired but the Quran does not imply that it is somehow lacking whereas to depend on Hadiths. In the Hadiths themselves Muhammad is reported as saying anything that you hear that is conflict with the Quran always obey the Quran
