When those with Moses decided not to follow the covenant they lost their relationship and this is what Jesus says right here. Stop making excuses God did allow Moses to order the killings infact God ordered them. If you don't understand just say I don't understand why God did that.
By the way, who said that killing itself was a sin? That can't be true otherwise you would be saying that when God commanded that certain lawbreakers were to be stoned to deah that God was asking those people to sin

EDYou can play this game all you want but the fact is God told them to purposely MURDER those that didn't accept the covenant it was premeditated and you are adding the “criminal” element to it you will never see it in the scriptures but believe me those who were getting killed felt it as a criminal act

it is still the breaking of YHVH's sixth commandment of “premeditated criminal homicide”
