Hi All,
When Jesus set the captive free I believe he was in a glorified state. ( without limitations ). Though if we take the scriptures literally, he had a body just like the rich man. As far as we are going to renew this temple, that would bring limitations on Jesus; for the dead would be liken as to Adam, but to be alive is to liken unto Christ Jesus. IMO

Did Jesus walk through the door ? What kind of body did He have ? or was it open ?
Hi Brother:And so, are you saying that he did not have a physical body?
He also asked Thomas to put his finger into his wounds. Did he not?Love in Christ,
MartyFebruary 25, 2012 at 6:45 pm#280563thehappymanParticipantHi Marty,
What I'm trying to say is that Jesus has no limitations. If he chooses to have His body for Thomas and others there to comfort them, so be it. Or to fulfill their faith for His purpose, just as He does today for us all.
No, I don't mean to say that Jesus didn't have a physical body.
Yes, He ask Thomas to put finger into His wounds ;
John 20:27-29. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.God bless … Andrew

King James Version (KJV)5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. 6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. 7And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
Mosses died, was buried, but his tomb was not found, even though they knew where he was buried.
Jude 1
King James Version (KJV)9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
The Devil and a servant of God contended over the body; not the soul; of Moses.
Matthew 17
King James Version (KJV)1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.Peter offered to build a tabernacle each for Jesus, Moses, and Elijah in response to something said. Ghosts do not require shelters.
John 3:13
King James Version (KJV)
13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. This passage is hard to understand and so confuses many. For example the Son of man is both in heaven and has come down from heaven. How can one man be physically in two places? Since one man cannot it is obvious not speaking of the physical side of Jesus. Instead it is speaking of the spiritual side which is simultaneously in heaven and on earth for Jesus is in Yahweh, and Yahweh is in Jesus. In the same manner it is speaking of the spiritual side of man ascending and not the physical. Who does not acknowledge that Jesus is the way to God?
Even Moses had to go through Jesus to get to God, though unlike us he looked forward to a time to come. The body of Moses was physically caught up to heaven after Satan’s attempt to keep it on earth where its burial place would be known. It was transformed to a spiritual body of flesh and bone when God freed it of its bondage to decay. Moses’ soul returned to his new superior body in which he appeared later to Jesus.

Really? Are all the bodies of the men of old kept in heaven?
How do you know what Peter was thinking when he offered to build tabernacles??

You draw fanciful conclusions on the basis of one verse.
Why are you so dependant on opinion?Better to find witnesses

What did they need SHELTER from?
Are you sure they were not some sort of places of honour?
They were frightened to enter the cloud so why would that relate to building tabernacles?April 19, 2012 at 3:57 am#293385kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 19 2012,09:17) Hi KW,

Nick,Satin is the Accuser of the brethren because it is his nature to make both false and true accusations. Michael is on a mission to to take the body of Moses to heaven so that Moses could receive the just rewards for the life he lead while in his body.
The signs are not that hard to read if you know Satan and God; who Michael serves.
Here are God's words on the matter where the High Priest Joshua is a type of Moses.
Zechariah 3
King James Version (KJV)1And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.Your other points I will address as the Lord leads me to.

Nick,It is a strong circumstantial case built on Scriptural evidence. It is not a case with a smoking gun.
There is the Assumption of Mosses manuscript. It is rare and incomplete and so I have only heard of it.

Quote Are all the bodies of the men of old kept in heaven? What has that to do with our discussion?
Quote What did they need SHELTER from? It is good to seek understanding.
Quote Are you sure they were not some sort of places of honor? It is a possibility. We know Peter answered the ongoing discussion with his offer. We also know that the offer was for three tents, not just one.
Quote They were frightened to enter the cloud so why would that relate to building tabernacles? Matthew 17 gives another take on the situation and I have not put all the eye witness accounts together and determined what they teach us.

Nick,A circumstantial case is not speculation as many go before the court of law. It is a case built on indirect evidence that explains the conclusions reached.

Circumstantial evidence is effective at times on earth

Mt 17
1And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,2And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
So Peter made the offer before any cloud was recorded as being there.
It was not accepted and probably came from his human view.Jesus was filled with light-the same is promised to us.
HOW DID THEY RECOGNISE THE PROPHETS?
April 19, 2012 at 9:37 pm#293509NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Mark 9
1And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.2And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
He said it because he was afraid and did not know what else to say.
April 19, 2012 at 9:39 pm#293510NickHassanParticipantHi KW
Lk 9
28And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.29And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
30And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
34While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him
