Jude :9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
When talking to the devil for the body and why the body? ..

In other words your saying Satan could have used the body for his purpose instead of Jehovah. Interesting.

Happyman,Good question.
Why was Elijah taken up into heaven while still in his flesh?
Why did Jesus ascend to heaven while still in a flesh body?

The three that I know went to heaven Enoch, Elijah, Jesus ; and only two did not taste death. I believe their obedience and their relationship with God. But why the body ? is the 64 dollar question. Why do Catholics have a special ceremony concerning the dead.?February 7, 2012 at 7:45 pm#276376kerwinParticipantQuote (thehappyman @ Feb. 07 2012,22:24) Hi Pierre and Kerwin,

Happy-man,I am not familiar with the Catholic ceremony but I believe Scripture speaks of a transformation from the mortal fleshly body from earth to the immortal fleshly body from heaven. In this case the later transformation of the body of Moses would result in his being returned to life.
He later had a conversation with Jesus before the later's students and they believed he had a flesh body.
It may be that God has chosen to transform the flesh of earth to the flesh of heaven instead of creating the flesh of heaven from something else. The something could be nothing as all things are possible with God.

Nick,The event is recorded in 2 Kings 2:1-18. Some versions state he was taken up to heaven while others state heavens.

Nick,What is flesh and blood?
Matthew 16:17
King James Version (KJV)
17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Galatians 1:16
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; As for speaking of all observation in Scripture, the resurrected body bore flesh.

Pierre,I know that what I wrote disagrees with what you have been taught but observations in scriptures also disagree with what you have been taught. I spoke of those observations.
I also speculated about why the dispute over the body of Moses.

February 8, 2012 at 5:05 am#276455thehappymanParticipantHi Nick,
Their was only one example that I can recall, Moses and Elijah and Jesus talking over something in Matt 17 :1 and they were not in the flesh. but in a transformed condition. I believe you may have it. But why the fight over the body? To save it from the desecration of that which is Holy ? and Paul said he had a friend whether in the spirit or not that he went to the third heaven. I choose to believe that it was in the spirit like you said no flesh and blood can make it to heaven.February 8, 2012 at 5:54 am#276464kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 08 2012,03:39) Hi KW,

Nick,Scripture does teach us that not all flesh is the same.
Scripture also teaches us that the creature is subject to decay.
I asked “what is flesh and blood” and then directed you to the four scriptures, other than the one you mentioned. that mentioned that clause.
Jesus spoke of eating his flesh and drinking his blood. What did he mean?
I was not trying to prove anything. I was giving you some scriptures to aid you in looking into the matter.
Jesus body after his death and resurrection is convincing enough for me.
