    Tim Kraft.

The definition of the word sin is a transgression of the law.  In this case the law being transgressed is to love as God intends you to love.  If you are not sinning then you love as God loves.  Love is an emotion that effects the mind in that the love of God flowing through you causes you to feel a unselfish benevolent and loyal concern for God, others, and yourself in that order.

In Paradise Adam and Eve did sin.  Eve sinned by knowingly disobeying God and Adam sinned by unknowingly disobeying God.  They both sinned as they ate fruit from the tree God forbid them to eat from.

Sin is at the door is a way of stating that a human being is subject to temptation which is equivalent to a visitor knocking at your door asking to enter.  That is why we are instructed to master it.   It is only by the power of God that we can master sin and we can only get that power if we believe Jesus in the Anointed of God and thus believe his promise that we will stop sinning in this world.

If we deny we are sinning while still sinning then Jesus cannot cure us of our wound and it will kill us.  The same is true if we deny that we are tempted by evil as even Jesus was tempted by evil.

    Pierre,

That would be 1 Timothy 2:14 as I find the passage in Genesis rather vague.

From what both state it appears Ever was discerned into believing that she would benefit from disobeying God while she offered the fruit to Adam who was elsewhere in the Garden but did not tell him what it was.   He in ignorance then ate the fruit though one would think he should have recognized it as coming from the forbidden tree.

Lets read about what the heart and our ways.

    Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
    Proverbs 20:24
Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
    Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
    Proverbs 21:2
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the  hearts
    Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
    John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    Proverbs 16:9
A man's  heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
    Proverbs 5:21
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits
    Job 34:21
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
    Jeremiah 17:10
I the LORD search the  heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
    2 Chronicles 6:30
Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose  heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)

    Anaylsis,
These scriptures that for one that the heart is wicked,
    we shouldnt trust our hearts,
so we shouldnt look to ourselves,
our ways should be direct by God, and by his ways,
    and that way is Jesus.

Good intentions does not cut it, so Good self-esteem nor Good beliefs doesnt cut it, its having Christ in you.
what we think is Good means nothing.
what we think is right means nothing.

God and God alone is right,
he is the very center. the everything.

    Ponder on those scriptures.

Anyways i Find Tim craft to be like this man.
I see you limited, there is a more perfect way my beloved brother.

    Acts 18:
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
27And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
28For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

    I think that Adam,
    knowingly chose Eve over God.

    why do i say this,
    he was shown the tree,
    he was commanded by God,
    not Eve.

he was instructed, im sure he knew very well what it was.

it was eve who was more ignorant.

than again this is an IMO.

    Dennison,

The definition of “knowingly” as used it the key. If one is aware of something but denies it to themselves then then does that denial render them unknowing though they are still guilty of the awareness.

I am attempting to explain how an unknown sin can still be a transgression of the Law of Love as all sin is a transgression of that Law.

Alot of people dont consider themselves as sinnners.
i think you cuold be right.

    i really dont know,

i mean we sin so much, every thought and flaw.
i mean there are so many sins, that can we really pray and ask for forgiveness one by one.

Thank God for Jesus who can just wipe them all away.

    Dennison,

Any sin is a transgression of the law love so I confess that I fall short of fulfilling that law in general and I may go into more detail as well. I believe that is sufficent since I am acknowledging the truth which is that I have fallen short of the goal.

I beg God to fill me with his love so that I fully obey the law of love and then seek to do so with my actions, words, and thoughts trusting in God to grant my request as I grow more mature in his Son.

I also ask him to reveal those unknown sins to be if it is necessary for me to know them in order to overcome them. If on the other hand it is not necessary then simply give me the heart to overcome them and touch no unclean thing.

The power of deception has taken a story like the Garden of Eden and used a word that did not yet exist for mankind, sin, that is not even in the story being told and not even used in the Bible for fifteen or twenty years (how ever old the boys were plus a year) and built on it as the foundation of evil for mankind for ever.

Only with preconceived doctrines in their minds that they are willing to do anything to support, can a person come up with sin being committed in the Garden of Eden. It was a choice with a warning from God of the consequences that would be experienced if believing in evil were chosen.

Even to this day if a person doesn't believe in evil it will not be a part of their experience on earth. If we believe in good only then,… Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow us—-

God is not evil. There is no evil in God. God does not dwell in evil. If a person believes in evil, God, Jesus, and the holy Spirit cannot dwell in an evil, impure, sinful abode. The only way to cleanse from the inside is by faith in Jesus. God gave the truth to Jesus and Jesus showed us the way. Jesus said his words have cleansed us. If you believe, you are clean. If you do not believe, you are unclean.

Only God is good. Good works are the power works by faith to heal the sick and cast out deceptive doctrines by teaching the cleansing power of Jesus to those who will believe.

Feel free to try to work for God. Feel free to do and not do things that you have manufactured in your minds to be good and worthy. Live your life in the bondage of sin and evil like the people of old testament. They offered animal sacrifices, we offer work sarifices.

There is no law of love. Love is the fulfilling of the law! Rom13:10– Love doesn't command. Love doesn't control. Love is kind. Love never faileth. God/love envieth not.

An evil heart works out its own salvation. A trite, loving heart believes in Jesus and his finished work for God. Whatever a person believes in his heart he will experience in this life. Believing comes before manifesting. If one believes he is a sinner, that is what he will manifest. If one believes he is evil, sinful, unworthy, unclean, unrighteous et.al. that is what he will manifest and experience in this life.

To reject so great a salvation as has been provided by Jesus by faith, so as to work and toil and try to be perfect another way is totally beyond me.

Only Jesus can make me clean, whole and perfect before God. I rest in him. God blessed all, if they believe it. TK

    Tim Kraft,

Who cares when the word “sin” came into being as that fact has no relevance to whether or not “sin” occurs.   The word is merely a label applied to the trangression of the Law of Love.   The question is did Adam and Eve trangress the Law of Love in the Garden and the answer is yes.  Those transgressions are labeled sins.

If you claim Adam did not sin then you claim he did not disobey God.  That would mean you believe God is unjust to have cast Adam from the Garden.  I do not believe you believe that which means you have to admit Adam sinned.

It does not care whether you believe in evil or not.  It cares whether you do evil or not.  For example if you go before a judge for commiting a crime and state you do not believe the crime you committed is evil you will still be sentenced for committing the crime and the judge may give you a harder sentence because of your lack of remorse.

What cares is that you desire to actually be righteous as God is righteous and God believes in evil though he does not do it.

because there is a more perfect way,

These two scriptures simply prove you wrong about the heart and about what we believe is right.

    hi all

the man who does not sin does not need Christ sacrifice, and so stand before God as an righteous man but how could it be, because there is no such a man, except Christ ,so he must be a liar.

    Hi All,

Lets dicuss these differences if there is any according to scripture,

    Mistakes and Sins.

Is making an imperfect choice based on an individuals own will, a Sin?

God cant make mistakes.. so if we commit a mistake its because me made an imperfect choice.

Is that a sin, a trespass before God?

    what say you?

It is a mistake to sin.

    Hi,
The only eternally relevant sin now is unbelief in the Son of God and the Spirit given to him.[Lk12.10, Jn3, Jn16.9]
Those who have bathed only need wash their feet.[Jn 13.10, 1Jn1]

    Hi SF,
There are at least two scriptural forms of sin.
    Sin you commit.
Sin that lives in you.[ Jas1 14-15, Rom7]

Do you think Hitler believed he was evil?
    Yet he sinned?

Do you believe that mosy psycho killers believe that they evil?
or how abut them men who cliaim to kill in Gods name?

these are called good intentions and they are still sins.

    Good intentinos breaks our analgoys
beacuse people are selfish, and only do things that benefits themselves not others.

EVeryone believes they are doing the right thing in one point or another.

I dont understand why dont you respond to my posts?

A SINNERS HEART THAT BELIEVES IN JESUS TRANSFORMS INTO A SON OF GOD.

    not a trite, loving heart.

    die and being born again.

you have to be believe you came short in order to NEED CHRIST.
