Quote (942767 @ Aug. 19 2009,11:01) Hi thethinker: Jews that don't believe that jesus is the Messiah don't know that the Levitical priesthood has been done away with.
And there are Jews in Israel who are planning to rebuild the temple even as I speak. The have already made some of the temple fixtures.
The temple was rebuilt when the Jews came back from the Babylonian captivity, but it is not the temple that is shown in Ezekiel (Ch 40-42).
I am not messing with God's timetable. I am simply trying to teach you the Word of God.

Marty,
Read Ezekiel 43 carefully. After God gave the requirements for its construction He COMMANDED that animal sacrifices be offered for atonement. Therefore, its fulfillment has past. You are messing with God's timetable and your anti-Christian assertion that bloody sacrifices will be re-instituted is proof. You are NOT teaching the word of God. You are teaching a gross error which is ANATHEMA!thinker

Hi thethinker:The building of the temple described in Ezekiel Ch 40-42 was conditional. Here is the condition:
Quote Eze 43:10 ¶ Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.
Eze 43:11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write [it] in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do themPerhaps, they did not meet these condtions. This temple was not built after the Babylonian captivity. They did build a temple but not to these specifications.
We as Christians know that Jesus is the lamb of God and no further sacrifice is required by God. This was a perfect sacrifice, but the Jews who do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah do not know about this sacrifice, and therefore, they will rebuild the temple according to the specifications in Ezekiel and offer animal sacrifice, as I have already stated.

My God Nick! According to Hebrews the sacrifice of Christ is the final, once for all sacrifice and you say that it is my opinion? You have the audacity to say that trinitarianism is folly?thinker

God clearly specified that animal sacrifices were to be offered “to make atonement” (43:20, 26 NKJV). So if it is future as you say then God will be requiring sacrifice again. History records for us that the temple was re-built and that it was the temple that was standing in Jesus' day except that it had been remodeled by Herod. Thus it was called the Herodian temple.Ezekiel's (Herod's) temple was destroyed in AD70 and animal sacrifices were abolished ONCE FOR ALL!
God told Ezekiel to tell the Israelites that the fulfillment of EVERY VISION was AT HAND (12:23). As the Israelites you are messing with God's timetable. Gross errors such as yours are the result.
