There is no goodness or greatness among men except by the grace of the Spirit.

You say
“Melchizedek is the first king of *peace itself*.

Hi NickSaul was Israel's first king, because the people wanted one.
Before that God was always their King.1 Samuel 10:19 And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.
1 Samuel 11:15 And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
1. As you can see, Melchizedek was never acknowledged by Israel as ever being their king.
Saul was the first king of Israel made public.2. Why? Because Melchizedek only appeared to Abraham.
3. The 12 tribes of Israel were not in Abrahams day,
4. Nor after Abraham did the Hebrews ever have their own king ruling over them.
5. The hebrews came to Egypt because of Jacob's son Joseph. Joseph's 11 brothers then came to join him there, and from there they multiplied. They were serving the King of Egypt, and had not their own land, or king.6. Saul was not crowned king until 1000 years after Abraham.
7. Another thing to consider is that all the kings had their lineage recorded for proof. There is no lineage listed for Melchizadek.
8. This king below is a spiritual King. He is not ruling over a nation, and Abraham gave tithes to him in his day. Abraham met the Word of God personally, long before the Word of God was born flesh of a woman.
It's the same Word, who we know now to be Jesus Christ.
This is so hard to understand, yet so simple.
The Word translated into the man Melchizadek, then vanished. The Word was not yet born, but translated only at this time.
The Word of God is King of Peace, King of Salem (Jerusalem) and King of Peace. No other can claim this title.Jesus Christ who is the Word of God, is coming to reclaim his own throne.
Hebrews 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

Hebrews tells us he was a man.
Genesis tells us he was a king and a priest.
He was not alone being also with the king of Sodom

There is mystery but we must only teach on what is written
Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.Hebrews 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
Yes this man was great. He didn't even have a mother or a father, without descent (no parents). He wasn't born, nor died but made unto like the Son of God (who was not yet born at that time) and abides a priest continually (He must be still alive?)
Wow, this man was so great he was not human, only in appearance.
But then again so were the angels who ate with Lot. They did not appear as angels did they?…and yet, Abraham, God's favourite of all time, gave a tenth of the spoils to …this man that was so “great”.
Now “Consider how “GREAT” this man was”
Consider it, the scipture states
So think about it.
Don't dismiss it
Let the spirit make the connection. - AuthorPosts
