It seems to me we are both making assumptions.
1. I am assuming that when it says “Jehovah” that it is referring to “Jehovah.”
2. You being a trinitarian want to assume that when it says “Jehovah” it means more than just Jehovah.I consider #1 to be normal thinking as used every day a thousand times with reference to others. My assumption is based on normal reality, the way things normally are.
Again, if you think this is a special case, then I think you have to prove it.

It proves that there is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
June 26, 2010 at 5:12 am#200020OxyParticipantand no, I am not a trinitarian. Trinitarians believe that all three are co-equal, which is definately not Scriptural. Both the Holy Spirit and the Son are subject to the Father, but it was the Holy Spirit who empowered Jesus to do the miracles He did.

oxyi thought it was God who empowered Christ with his Holy spirit
just like i give you an axe to cut wood ,and now you glorified my axe instead of me who give you the axe, next time i keep my axe.funny??

June 26, 2010 at 6:18 am#200052OxyParticipantI give glory to my Father and to the Lord Jesus, and you are right in saying that Father that empowered His Son with the Holy Spirit, but that does not make the Holy Spirit an “it”. Once again, Jesus identified the Holy Spirit as “He” and I will not argue with Jesus.

You are both right. You argree …ha ha… Yes, ARGREE! let it be so.
It is not Jesus who said 'he' or 'it' but the human Scripture translaters.
It matters not whether 'he' or 'it' for my friends car is a 'she' cos of reasons i am reluctant to explain in this forum…! Is 'she', the car, then a sentient being? She can tell him when she is thirsty, hungry, she can indicate which direction she wants to turn on the road, tell him he hasn't fastened his seat belt and start the windscreen wipers when it starts to rain. She 'speaks to him' telling him that the doors are open or locked, unlocked, yes, she's pretty 'chirpy' on that…She lights his way in the dark and even helps him reverse (first time for a woman!!) yep, she's a sparky girl under her hood, a right goer, temperamental in hot weather and cold winter, prone to giving him a frosty reception in the morning if he didn't 'cover her' the night before. And takes a while to 'warm up' but can give him the ride of his life in the summer breeze.
Sounds like a woman,..? no, its a car, a metalminded, mechanically driven, vehicle, product from a man….Then again…yeah, you're right, it does… Smile…

Correction: Jesus turned water to wine before he was annointed.Seems to me he already had the abilities.
And apparently his mother knew of this, cause if my mom told me to walk on water out of the blue, i'd think she was crazy.
So i'm sure there were plenty demonstrations before his annointing that were just not recorded in the bible.

Hi Oxy,You claim God speaks to you within your mind,
but when a simple question is asked that would
verify your claims you clam up like a threatened clam;
why is that if what you say is the truth? (Isaiah 41:28-29)Think about it

If you take the time to look at my website http://www.all4god.net and go to the experiences page you will see plenty of evidence of times God has spoken to me and the results that followed. If you really want to know if God speaks to me, check it out.On another note, if you're not hearing from God then it seems that you are not one of His.

Hi Oxy,If you ask him in my behalf what he thinks of me,
after you report to me what he has said,
then I will look at what you want; OK?
NOT unless you ask him.(Jer.23:37)
AS I WON'T WASTE MY TIME!There are plenty of things in life that we don't

Hi Oxy,If your unwilling to verify that God does in fact (according to you) talk to you (1Thes.5:20-22),
then why should I subjugate myself to the rantings of an unstable schizophrenic psychotic?July 4, 2010 at 8:20 am#201641OxyParticipantThanks for the love Ed. Does God speak to you? It seems to me that He doesn't, which makes me wonder if you've received the Holy Spirit. You call me an unstable schizophrenic psychotic, but God has directed my path over the last 32 years. He has directed my path regarding my family, my work, my church, in fact every aspect of my life. The website I built was in obedience to Him. I woke early one Saturday morning and the first thing I was aware of was Him saying to me “Today we will build a website, and this is how it will be.” I was so excited I couldn't wait to get started. He showed me what to do and the design He wanted step by step.
Now, rather than dispute that God speaks to me, what if you were to say to yourself, if Oxy is right, I want to hear from God too. It is possible.. in fact more than that, it's God's desire that you know His voice. How else will you know what He wants from you?
