Scripture does not say the earth will be cast into the lake of fire.
Neither does it say that the fires on earth relate to the white throne judgement.
Peter does not speak of the lake of fire does he?
Do you think the lake of fire reserved for the devil and his angels is of earth?I believe this as you know:

It looks like you have a problem with this scripture. If not, then you believe that judgement fire is kept for the heavens, earth, and ungodly men and thus we are in agreement.
If the Lake of Fire is separate to this, then you believe in two judgement fires.

Surely the only relationship between the fires is the timing-judgement.
For want of a better term, I will call your doctrine, “The Two Fires Doctrine”.
I have never heard of two different fires and cannot reference it directly in scripture. That said, if you can show me proof, then I will listen.
What I believe is that God will judge the earth, heavens, and ungodly with the same fire because it mentions all three in the same sentence as the fire.
Other scriptures that speak of the judgement fire may give more detail, but that doesn’t make it a different fire.

Notice that fire is reserved for the heavens and earth and kept for the destruction of ungodly men.
The latter looks to me like the Lake of Fire, thus the former is related to the fire according to this verse.
It says ‘fire’ and I say ‘fire’. And you question me about it, when you should question Peter.
Unless the fire that Peter talks about and the Lake of Fire are different events, then which one destroys the ungodly?
This is why I have called your stance on this, “The two fires doctrine”. I just see fire as the judgement, you see two different fires it appears.

You want to deny a lot of scripture
Can you deny that the fire is:
- reserved for the present heavens and earth;
- is kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
Malachi 4:1
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.Isaiah 66:15

The earth will be burnt up.
Men will hide in caves.
All who remain will die.
Then the judgement when all THE DEAD will be gathered to face the Lord.
Then the second death, the lake of fire.
Such is revealed.
But you may have a different opinion
The heavens, earth, and unglodly are reserved for the judgement fire.
All things will be new. No more crying or pain thereafter.

In many scriptures, the fire is a purifying means . The dross is to be burned til the pure element is that which is the end result !!! For the elect at this time, the fire purifies them to the elemental pure gold !!
I say to you that humanity in general shall indeed be purified, in accordance with the scriptures, so that the dross shall indeed be burned so that the pure gold shall remain in due time

When the tares are removed those in the kingdom will shine like the sun.

Amen Shayne. We need to be the gold and not the dross then.
But God is merciful. There will be some whose works burn down, but will escape the flames because they are on the true foundation. Others will receive varying degrees of rewards if their works withstand the fire.

But my point stands, that it is the same thing, ‘fire’ which destroys both the Heavens and Earth, as well as the ungodly.
The point was made originally to show that the same judgment for the ungodly also befalls the heavens and earth too. Thus to prove my point about the wicked being destroyed of which you believe not.
It will be fire that destroys the ungodly and the heavens and earth will melt with intense heat.
