Nick,
The truth is the truth whatever my actions are.
I realize I am not yet fully mature in Christ.
It is the words of God that condemn those that in their love of sin will not come out into the light.
Get the hunger and thirst for righteousness and you will be blessed.
The prize is to be like God in true holiness and righteousness at all time. Run as if to get the prize.(1 Corinthians 9:24.

But you do not speak and a man blessed by God but one weighed down by sin.
Yet you try to judge others?

My accusations are based on Scripture while yours are not. Do not fear the gospel of Christ.
In the gospel is the message of how to do all that is and so stop sinning. This righteousness is from God and comes through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 1:17)
August 3, 2015 at 8:51 pm#801597ProclaimerParticipantHi T8,
You seem to express opinions rather than show truth. It is not my opinion but was stated by someone else.
2 Peter 3:7
By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.By reason of that fire for the heavens, earth, and day of judgement, it is talking about a specific time period for all three.
August 3, 2015 at 8:54 pm#801598ProclaimerParticipantPaul is making against living according to the letter of the law and for living by the newness of Spirit of it in verses 1-6.
Regardless. He still said the following:
Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
To me, if we say we have no sin, we are a liar. The difference between the righteous and wicked is one willingly sins even looks for opportunity to sin. The other falls for it from time to time and repents each time.
August 3, 2015 at 9:42 pm#801602NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
The time of judgement is also the era when the earth is burnt up and the same era when the ungodly meet their fate in the lake of fire.
August 3, 2015 at 10:09 pm#801608ProclaimerParticipantYes that is my point. You earlier asked what made me think the fire that the wicked would suffer was the same as the one that burns the heavens and earth. Have I answered your question?
August 4, 2015 at 4:15 am#801611kerwinParticipantt8,
Paul is making against living according to the letter of the law and for living by the newness of Spirit of it in verses 1-6.
I do not think you are understanding my words so perhaps these words that end Paul’s argument will aid you.
Romans 8Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
I include the following passage so it can be seen that sin in a person is the flesh while those who walk after the Spirit do not sin.
Galatians 5:19-23Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
In short those that sin are not walking after the Spirit but after the flesh.

No you should not assume they are the same fire,
What is of earth now is transient but the lake of fire is not of earth.
August 4, 2015 at 7:32 am#801622kerwinParticipantNick,
What is of earth now is transient but the lake of fire is not of earth.
What evidence to you use to support your case?
August 4, 2015 at 7:52 am#801627NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Rev 20.11
At the time of judgement and the lake of fire, earth and heaven have fled away.
August 4, 2015 at 7:59 am#801628terrariccaParticipantt8
The time of judgement is also the era when the earth is burnt up and the same era when the ungodly meet their fate in the lake of fire.
the time of judgement is now since Christ resurrection ,our tribulations are our living life moments on this earth from the day we have accepted Christ in our hearts ,
judgement will be done at the very end of this time , for according to Rev;20;many things seam to be yet done like Satan chained, resurrection of the righteous ,the return of Satan the full resurrection of those that have dies since the beginning of creation (all)and after a period of time the final judgement and then the new earth and new heaven ………………………..
August 4, 2015 at 8:16 am#801631kerwinParticipantNick,
According to a literal understanding of Revelations 20-21 the old heaven and earth passages away before the Death and Hades are thrown into the Lake of fire. The wicked are also thrown into Gehenna but after Death and Hell.
Why do you deem that disproves t8’s hypothesis?
August 4, 2015 at 9:16 am#801642NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Why would you think that relates?
If the old earth has fled then the lake of fire cannot be on it.
Remember it was made for the devil and his angels.
November 15, 2015 at 11:21 pm#804841ProclaimerParticipantHi T8,
No you should not assume they are the same fire,

Actually it is you who should not assume not because this is written:
But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
I don’t see two fires here. But you obviously do I take it. I see one big fire that burns the heavens, earth, and all that is wicked. Why do I see that? Because I have read 2 Peter 3:7 and other scriptures.
You are arguing with Peter (not me) and what he wrote in 2 Peter 3:7. But I am happy to continue the debate on behalf of Peter as he is not a member of Heaven Net.
November 16, 2015 at 7:13 am#804857NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You stand on your own conclusions.
Is that wise?
November 16, 2015 at 8:38 am#804859NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
There are several references to the lake of fire in scripture.
Which of these tells us the fires on earth relate to it?
November 16, 2015 at 8:43 am#804860NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Peter does not speak of the lake of fire does he?
Do you think the lake of fire reserved for the devil and his angels is of earth?
November 17, 2015 at 7:12 am#804924NickHassanParticipantHi DD,
John HEARD the Word.
Most cannot and, like the Pharisees, only hear a man.
