hi t8,
It is outstanding?
Jn 3.36
He who believes in the Son has eternal life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him
Yes I think so. You do not seem to believe that the disobedient will not see life. They will not be alive. But yes the wrath of God abides with them. That wrath ends with destruction. The heavens, earth, and ungodly will all be destroyed in the same way.
January 17, 2016 at 6:47 pm#807407ProclaimerParticipantHi t8,
You misquote scriptures such as Phil 2.
Actually I quote it. I believe it the way it is written and teach it that way too.
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!I believe all of it. I do not need to change one word of it.
But even on this one point, you do not believe.
Who, being in very nature God
Another translation says:
who, though he was in the form of God,
It seems you do not believe either translation Nick.
Do you believe that Jesus existed in the form of God or in very nature God?
From what you teach, the answer seems to be no. Jesus is just a flesh being to you.
Please explain to me how he was in the form of God in your view?
January 17, 2016 at 6:51 pm#807409NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You omitted the words CHRIST JESUS.
Do you not grasp that the Word was made flesh?
A body was prepared for the anointing.
January 17, 2016 at 10:26 pm#807410ProclaimerParticipantNot true Nick. Rather, Christ Jesus is not mentioned in the part of I quoted. I quoted it exactly as it is written in that translation.
But yes, if I go back one more verse we see it is referring to Christ Jesus.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Nick, perhaps you didn’t realize. Jesus is the Christ. Most people think Christ when you mention Jesus.
You seem to teach that Jesus was not the Christ for part of his life. I think this is false teaching Nick.
For example, you deny Luke’s testimony in Luke 2:11.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luke 2:26
And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.Look at the context Nick. Jesus was a baby.
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, 28 he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said…
With your idea that Jesus was not always Christ, you also deny Mathews testimony in Matt 2:4.
When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
The messiah was born in Bethlehem, whereas you teach (I think) that he became messiah at his baptism and was only a good man before that.
Anyway, I also hesitate in adding the following verse because I am not sure if this also predates when Jesus baptism took place and yet he is still called the Christ. I add it in case it is. The Book of John doesn’t place when the water baptism occurred rather John focuses on the fact that Jesus received the spirit and speaks of it in the past. (Even if the following verse happened after the baptism, I thought it good to keep it as I find it amazing that John doesn’t mention the water part of the baptism and focuses on Jesus receiving the Spirit and that Jesus would baptize with the Spirit.)
John 1:40-42
Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus.Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).

Do you not recognise prophecy?
If you think Jesus was born anointed you deny the truth of his anointing at the Jordan.
January 19, 2016 at 2:28 pm#807477NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
The Spirit of Christ proceeded forth and came from God. jn8.42
If you knew the voice of the Spirit you would know this.
January 20, 2016 at 8:42 am#807506NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You say
“You seem to teach that Jesus was not the Christ for part of his life. I think this is false teaching Nick.”
So tell us when Jesus was anointed prior to the Jordan.
Show us the evidence of that anointing as an infant and in the first 30 years of his life.
If you deny the ANOINTING at the Jordan perhaps you are the one clinging to antichrist teaching?

Lk 1:31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
Lk 1:32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
Lk 1:33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”this also happen months before Jesus Came and start his ministry ;
Mk 1:2 It is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way”—
Mk 1:3 “a voice of one calling in the desert,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’Jn 1:23 John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’ ”
Jn 1:25 questioned him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”
Jn 1:26 “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands one you do not know.
Jn 1:27 He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.”Jn 1:32 Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
Jn 1:33 I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
Jn 1:34 I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God.”how many did see the spirit come down “NICK” ?

NO,NO ,you have it wrong ;
Lk 1:26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,
Lk 1:27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
Lk 1:28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Lk 1:29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
Lk 1:30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.
Lk 1:31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.
Lk 1:32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,
Lk 1:33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”
Lk 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
Lk 1:35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Lk 2:25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
Lk 2:26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Lk 2:27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,the Jordan event was just to fulfilled the scriptures ;
Mt 3:15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented

Expert only in mocking and bullying you never seem to be able to build anything useful.
You need some sort of positivity to do so and you lack it.
