For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.April 26, 2018 at 10:09 am#822697NickHassanParticipantHi,
The servants did their best but when they died the people lost contact with the Source of the blessing and followed their minds into theology and philosophy and developed their own dead religion. God tolerated their nonsense and continued to make His grace and Spirit available to those who seek.

That would be a good case for studying what those early servants were teaching!

The servants were the apostles.
Since them no man’s word is trustworthy.
Greek religion and philosophy influenced the rest.

Acts 20.28
Be on guard for yourselves and all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you , not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after them.
