Quote (Baker @ Nov. 15 2010,09:15) Hi shimmer! When you love someone and can't forgive them when they do something wrong, you really did not love that person to begin with. On this website, IMo members are having a hard time to love each other. When I see that they get personal with a member, it really tuns me off. It is the great Commandment that Jesus gave to us, and most do not pay any attention to it….that is sad to say the least….We all grow in different stages, and we should except that, but some don't….
I am glad you put this tread up, thanks…Peace Irene
When Jesus Christ told Peter, “Get thee behind me Satan” was that an act of love?Mark 8:33
33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.How about Mark 3:1-5
1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.Verse 5 he looked round about him with anger. Was he angry out of love?
We are to abound in love and I Thessalonians 3:12
12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men , even as we do toward you:
Colossians 4:6
6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.Let's focus on I Thessalonians 3:12 and Colossians 4:6

When that crazy guy burst into thier school and murdered 10+ kids, it was so horrible that they razed the building. But, the incredible witness to me was they took food to his widow (he commited suicide) and forgave him.
I know. That was amazing. How they forgave.December 21, 2010 at 11:24 am#229494shimmerParticipantHi Barley, welcome back.

I see many show words of love and charity ,and i always wander why Christ uses the word love and not charity when he say the one who LOVEs me obey s me ???
