The main theme and teaching of Jesus, yet many dont understand it.
Theres no point trying to analyze everything without analyzing this, the main message.

what is the main message??
Pierre
November 14, 2010 at 10:10 pm#224706shimmerParticipantTerrarica, Jesus main message was this…To love God and to love neighbour. Our neighbour is anyone who we encounter day to day. People we meet, family, friends, strangers, people who we talk to here on the interent.
Jesus forgave and Jesus told us to forgive, how many times ? 70×7 which means theres no limit.
Jesus also said to love all his people. Not just some, not just a few. How can the body of Jesus, his people be divided ? No.
If there are 30 believers here, and a person only loves 20 of them and hates the others, then they have taken the side of hate which is not of God. Even if they hate one.
If a person loved equally all those 30, they have chosen the way of love, which IS of God. See ?
So people example here analyze God and Gods son but fail to hear what they say and do what they say to do.
1st John 2
“This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. One who says, “I know him,” and doesn't keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth isn't in him. But whoever keeps his word, God's love has most certainly been perfected in him. This is how we know that we are in him: he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.
Brothers, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines. He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now. He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn't know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
November 14, 2010 at 11:15 pm#224719BakerParticipantHi shimmer! When you love someone and can't forgive them when they do something wrong, you really did not love that person to begin with. On this website, IMo members are having a hard time to love each other. When I see that they get personal with a member, it really tuns me off. It is the great Commandment that Jesus gave to us, and most do not pay any attention to it….that is sad to say the least….We all grow in different stages, and we should except that, but some don't….
I am glad you put this tread up, thanks…Peace IreneNovember 14, 2010 at 11:38 pm#224721shimmerParticipantThanks Irene.
November 15, 2010 at 12:09 am#224725Ed JParticipantHi Shimmer,
Charity is: Love in action!
1Cor.13:3-8 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though
I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not
itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not
her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in
iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all
things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never fails.God bless

Irene, you are right. If you love someone, nothing will stop that love. As Jesus said “They will have love amongst each other”But anything should be sorted out, forgiven, understood, moved on with, peace, kindness, caring for one another. Thats how it should be. Thats how the Lord would have it,

Absolutely, You are right on. I need more of this. Peace and love- Mark
November 15, 2010 at 9:46 pm#224843shimmerParticipantHi Mark, and all,
I went to church one day and sat there, while hatred brewed….grew….and with hatred is hurt, the cause….a war between my family and my then partners family. Who was at fault ? All of us. (My father is the Eucharist Minister…He comes from a family of priests…He reminds my ex of one of those Mafias..no-one hurts His family name) But anyway, there we were, in church, feeling like this. And I prayed – holding back the tears “Why Lord? This is supposed to be a church, why all of the hate ? why does it hurt so much” not just with them but with my ex too he was hurtfull.
So hurt in Christianity is something I HATE. Gods people should never do that, otherwise they are Christians falsely, they are flesh only not spirit. One of the spirit is carefull, and if they are shown where they may be wrong they are quick to repent and apologise and change.
With forgivness comes forgivness,

Hi Shimmer,Can someone show you Love without actions?
That is because: Charity is: Love with actions!
What bible ‘version’ are you using? (Isa.40:8)Can a man have faith without works?
Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will
show thee my faith by my works. (James 2:18)Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them (In The AKJV Bible) from this generation for ever.
Isaiah 28:11: For with stammering lips and another tongue(That is English) will he speak to this people.God bless

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgNovember 15, 2010 at 11:22 pm#224863shimmerParticipantTerrarica and Ed,
I know about deeds and how faith without works is dead. BUT
What im meaning is this…..I'm sure you know them..they are Christians who put on a GREAT show. They seem hungry for Gods word…but deep down they know not love, nor forgivness, for they are always right, everyone else is wrong. Filling an inner need for their own desires, not for the good of man, for each other.
As someone said to me once, they are christian in name, but inside they have evil hearts.
The only way they or anyone can come through that is by changing with the help of God.
November 15, 2010 at 11:26 pm#224864shimmerParticipantSomething else I have noticed….There are many people who I have seen on this and othernforums who have Amazing bible knowledge, they can pull verses out so easily, they do HUGE posts, they must know scripture off by heart, really. But with all that they know they have become deaf to its true spiritual message of love of one another etc. So knowing scripture well means nothing.
