Yes WJ,
I have insisted several times on this board that every tongue must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Nick has failed to refute us so he must now speak falsehoods.

Deuteronomy 6:4 says that there is only ONE Lord? By your logic if we confess Jesus as Lord then there are two Lords.

Jesus is Lord of all and yet you want to rather make him your God?
1Cor 8 does not tell us he is our God but the Father is.

Either Paul is not speaking the truth or you are choosing rebellion are you not?

Human nature I suppose.

Everyone wants to talk about Jesus but who wants to accept his rule and discipline?
They would rather ignore his teaching and want to make him anything, even God, but not LORD

Jesus spoke several times about those who call him LORD LORD and how he will reply that he did not know them.

Surely preaching his teachings is better than risking preaching what derivations men have taught?

Jesus spoke those words so that men would examine themselves and not judge other men. Seeing that you know who they are that Christ will disown we don't have to wait for the judgment to find out.

Luke 19.12

A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return.

And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them 10 Minas, and said to them

’Do business with this until I come back’

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him saying

’We do want this man to reign over us’

 

So Jesus returned to his Father to be given the kingdom-Dan 7- and left his brothers with a share of the Spirit to use and invest for him. He is Lord of all but mankind does not want him to rule now, or on earth from Jerusalem, with God living in him, after his return.

If you have been given a share of the Spirit then ask, seek and knock so as to grow into a tree of faith that others can perch in. Invest your gift wisely and grow the kingdom.

But there be faith on earth when he returns?
