Conscience is made up of “con” & “science”.
Con=with. In Spanish you can say “cafe con leche”, i.e., coffee WITH milk.Science=knowledge.
So if we are talking of conscience we are talking of knowledge. Knowledge of what? Knowledge of the Law of God.
Romans 2:14-15
14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law,
15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)So is the real question “is the law our guide”?

I get it.. you're not saying we should think about things over coffee, right Nick? This is how the dictionary describes conscience:
1. the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action: to follow the dictates of conscience.
2. the complex of ethical and moral principles that controls or inhibits the actions or thoughts of an individual.
3. an inhibiting sense of what is prudent: I'd eat another piece of pie but my conscience would bother me.The conscience is God given and will steer us towards righteousness if we don't sear it. It is the spirit part of us along with intuition etc.

The works of Christ did not cease on the Saturday, the day of rest, and he fulfilled all Law.
Those in him follow him.February 26, 2007 at 4:10 am#42933PhoenixParticipantHi Nick

That is in the hands of the Lord of the sabbath to decide.February 26, 2007 at 7:38 am#42953PhoenixParticipantHi Nick
I meant your answer to my question is obviously a No.
Anyway getting back to this conscience subject… I have in my conscience that ALL of the 10 Commandments are still applicable today. Unless of course you think that my conscience is being led by something else. Like Satan for instance.
Why would Satan want me to obey ALL of Gods Law? when he is really meant to be misleading me?
I understand Jesus has his commandments but I dont think that his commandments render the 10 commandments “obsolete”. The sacrificial Law yes but not the 10 commandments.
