NOT THAT SOME OTHER SPEAK. WE CAN DECERN IT BY THE CONTRADICTIONS. GOD’S WORD MUST BE IN HARMONY,

You are the member that as started the most topics you even beat Nick by 100 or so but you are also the master in not given answers to your own topics it look that you mist the purpose of this forum ,most of your topics are leat with only your introduction statement, question ,question,but no answers, if you start a topic it is for the teaching purpose, but you seem to act like a kid ,only asking questions when you should ask those thing you Don, t know to those that could answer the questions you are interested in like T8,Mike, Nick,and a few other
So again I ask you here are you going to answer those questions of your or you do not know those answers? As a topic opener you should know your answers to your own question, that is my own view ,
October 21, 2014 at 12:10 am#780861WakeupParticipantHi Terra.
Should I answer my own questions?
What about you answering those questions?
And what about our brothers and sisters?
I mean really answering; without making fun of it.

.Let US make man in OUR image; and in OUR likeness (US)? (OUR)? (plural)?
gods said “let us make man in our own image.
Translators understand that the plural elohim means only one God in this context. The ptonoun use may be like that or God is simply speaking to the heavenly host. I simply do not know about the ancient Hebrew language to be certain.

lets assume for a moment that what it says is true ;
Ge 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.so what does it say to you ?

The creatures have nothing to do with what God wants to do.
Us = plural. try again.

Just joined the forum because it seemed there were some great discussions on here…Is this thread open to everyone? I’d be interested in participating on the plurality subject…

Only the forum on debates and group discussions has officially private discussions.Anyone is invited to this conversation as he did not say otherwise and it is not in the official area for private discussions.

I tend to take it as meaning God is speaking of his host and talking in a group seance though he is actually the one that does the work. I point out that some angels are said to look like men and God said let us make man it our own image and likeness.
October 21, 2014 at 1:04 pm#780904kerwinParticipantWakeup,
In English us can be used to speak of the actions of a group where only a few participate in the actual actions. For example when my favorite sports team one I said “we one”. If the company I am with sells a product to a client then it is “we sold them the product” even if I did not directly that activity.
October 21, 2014 at 1:14 pm#780905LightenupParticipantHi wakeup et al,
I understand the Son as the eternal offspring PART of the one true God, the Father. As offsprings naturally are, He is the same type of being as the Father which makes two persons who have the same attributes and same eternalness of the highest sort. When God appears as one person, the Son is right there as a part of His whole being. Nothing can separate them.For me, this understanding has explained many of those apparent contradictions that you wrote down. This explains the ‘us’ mentioned in the ‘Let US make man in our own image.’ We are told that:
1 Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Those two persons listed in that verse make up the ‘us’ who made man in their image.
God bless!October 21, 2014 at 1:16 pm#780906LightenupParticipantWelcome Gunstar54! I’m Lightenup. What is your view on the plurality?
October 21, 2014 at 1:22 pm#780907ProclaimerParticipantGenerally speaking, if you have access to a topic, then you are free to post.
However, the exception would be some debates and discussions that reside in the Debates & Group Discussions forum that have rules in the first post as to who can participate.🙂

as far that i know it is Moses that wrote the book of Genesis,so it most be the angel of God that told him what to write ,right ?
October 21, 2014 at 1:27 pm#780909ProclaimerParticipantIf God made all things through the Word/Jesus Christ, then God was speaking to his Word & son by whom he made the universe.
Colossians 1:16
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities– all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.…Hebrews 1:2
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.It takes a minimum of two to invoke the word “us” and these two scriptures are sufficient to see that two were involved in the creation of the universe. God made it through his son as scripture states. God is the creator and the son his agent.

agree with you for if God would have something to share he would do it with someone close to him and that would be a part of his work
October 21, 2014 at 2:46 pm#780915kerwinParticipantT,

Tradition says it was Moses but I am not sure Scripture does. I think that Scripture only credits him with writing the laws. Genesis is a mixture if history, current events of that time, genealogies, and laws. I believe the Laws Moses wrote were kept in the Ark of the Covenant. That may be only the first ten that were also copied into the Exodus and Deuteronomy.
I do not know how they came about the histories that were write down in the book of Genesis. It is plausible they already had them or perhaps they were given to Moses by God and it just is not mentioned in Scripture.
October 21, 2014 at 3:07 pm#780917terrariccaParticipantK
let make a test if they would be not from God it would be easy to spot and show the ridicule of the description of all events ,
so if you are not going to believe what is written in the book then why bother with the scriptures at all , if you believe in them then just answer my question
