Hi M,
I guess you cannot accept what is written and prefer your opinion?
Did Philip lay hands to baptise in the Holy Spirit?
Or did others come after him to do so?
What did Simon Magus observe?April 19, 2012 at 12:34 am#293289Marlin1ParticipantHi Nick,
If you want to believe it requires work on your part to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, then that is between you and God.
I will just stick with Jesus who said, “When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
I admit that some had hands laid on them, but I also can see where there are many that were filled that there is no evidence of the laying on of hands. Also the first Gentiles to come in had no hands laid on them.
The letter killeth and the Spirit gives life.
It is much better to follow God then mans understanding. You are twisting the meaning of the scriptures to follow WORKS.
God Bless

It is not the work of any man but the joyful service of the anointed to pass on the anointing.
Neither do I deny that Jesus sometimes does it himself.April 22, 2012 at 2:16 am#294046terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 19 2012,19:34) Hi M,

God will guide you.May 1, 2014 at 10:31 pm#380239NickHassanParticipantHi,
This was an ordinance that was essential in the days of the apostles.
Now it seems to have fallen into disfavour and the religion of men has taken over.Perhaps that is why the Spirit rarely seems to be manifested

The promise of the Spirit is for now too[acts 2,39]
The Spirit was given this way usually in the times of the book of Acts.
Somehow it has fallen into neglect but folk still think they have been blessed this way because they have learned thingsvery odd
