Hi KW,
You are not sure when the Holy Spirit came down on him as a dove and God made a proclamation about him?
November 26, 2015 at 12:57 pm#805230GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin…..I was just trying to bring out that the words used by GABRIEL the angel indicate he did not know of him before his berth. Words like “thing” and ” he shall be called”. Do you follow what i am trying to say brother?
peace and love to you and yours. ……….gene
November 26, 2015 at 1:08 pm#805231GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin……JESUS is the head of the household of the sons of God , but i am not to sure i agree with you saying he is the chief of the household of the spirit though, if that is what you meant brother, i believe GOD the Father is that. IMO
Peace and love to you and yours. ………..gene

God is the one that knew Jesus was the Christ before the world not Gabriel. As far as I know angels only found out when Jesus came into the world and God instructed his angels to pay homage to them.
November 26, 2015 at 3:42 pm#805236NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You may be right.
Eph 3. 8-11
November 27, 2015 at 7:12 am#805237kerwinParticipantNick,
A very apt verse though I was thinking of 1 Peter 1:12.
November 27, 2015 at 7:51 am#805238GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin….The angels only know of him when he was born because, that is the time he actually came into existence that is not to say they didn’t know “about” him. That same thing could apply to us also.
GOD IS ALL KNOWING, KNOWNING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING. We should all know that, but every thing has a beginning time and even though GOD had that preknowledge in his mind about something, it still did not exist till it happened. That even applies to us, we can have many plans but only when it happens is it achieved. So yes God the Father know right from the beginning what he was going to do. But it did not happen till it took place, The man Jesus who became the anointed one of God had no prexistence himself , except in the mind of GOD, TILL HIS ACTUAL BERTH ON THIS EARTH. The word Christ is not JESUS, it is what the man Jesus had on him.
Many take some places where the word Christ appears as meaning the person Jesus himself, but actually it means the anointing spirit he had on him, it can be applied to him through, but only in this sense, because he was that anointed one of God. When people force the two things as one and the same, that can cause Jesus to appear as if he previsely existed as a spiritual being, before his actual berth on this earth. Because we know the “anointing spirit”, that was on him, did preexist, it was also on many leaders of Isreal and it followed the childern of Isreal in the wilderness.
peace and love to you and yours. ……………gene

I agree with your words.
November 27, 2015 at 9:01 am#805240NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
As far as the angelic earthly princes go
1 Corinthians 2:8 – Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
November 27, 2015 at 11:40 am#805241NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Yes.
The Spirit that anointed him is what is important.
But natural men cannot see or hear the Spirit and waste their time studying scripture.
November 27, 2015 at 5:07 pm#805244NickHassanParticipantHi ,
“To whom God was pleased to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27)
Does this mean the man?
No the Spirit of Christ.
Discern the overwhelming importance of the Spirit.
November 27, 2015 at 5:11 pm#805245NickHassanParticipantHi,
Gal 4.19
“My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.”.
The Spirit of Christ.
Now the Lord IS the Spirit-2cor 3.17
November 27, 2015 at 5:35 pm#805246kerwinParticipantNick,
Galatians 4:19 is speaking of the Spiritual likeness of Christ and that occurs only when an individual has learned to live by the Spirit at all times.
November 27, 2015 at 5:44 pm#805247NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Only the Spirit of Christ can bring about any sort of likeness to him.
Only those reborn from above can begin this transformation.
Not by might nor by power but by Thy Spirit.
November 27, 2015 at 8:38 pm#805248kerwinParticipantNick,
I agree not with might or power of man but only by walking according to the Spirit. And that is do through faith.
November 27, 2015 at 8:52 pm#805249NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Faith leads to seeking the baptism of the Spirit. Lk 11.13
If you do not have the Spirit of Christ you are none of his. Rom8
November 28, 2015 at 1:55 pm#805250kerwinParticipantNick,
If you have faith that Jesus is the Anointed, the chief son of the living God and hear the message you will seek to obey it and so be immersed in the name of Jesus Christ.
November 28, 2015 at 4:54 pm#805251NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes and to those who obey is promised access to the blessing of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2.39
November 28, 2015 at 5:32 pm#805252kerwinParticipantNick,
I agree but some argue Cornelius and his household were exceptions to that rule.
November 28, 2015 at 5:55 pm#805253NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Do we make rules for a Sovereign God?
If He judges someone already clean by the Word then He may decide to give the blessing .
