Hi Nick:
Hi 94,
He was a son of God by conception too but the sonship that matters is according to the Spirit at the Jordan
But if he had not been a Son of God by conception, then he would not have been baptized with the Holy Spirit at the Jordan.

MartyNovember 21, 2015 at 5:29 pm#805077NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
So?
The important matter is that this man was anointed and perfectly used by God to speak and teach for God.
Or would you say some of the words in Isaiah came from the man?
November 21, 2015 at 5:49 pm#805079NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
You say
“‘So if Jesus came in the flesh and the Word became flesh, then is Jesus the Word of God?
‘JESUS DID NOT COME IN THE FLESH.
He was conceived in Mary
Unless you can show other scriptural examples of men being born being referred to as COMING IN THE FLESH.
The WORD was made flesh when Jesus became THE CHRIST at the Jordan.
Utterly one with the Word it now can be said spiritually that Jesus Christ came in the flesh.

Does it satisfy the logic demands of human wisdom ? no
It is designed to trip the unwary.
November 22, 2015 at 3:51 am#805088GeneBalthropParticipantNick……JESUS WAS A COMPLETE HUMAN BEING RIGHT? So that included his spirit as well as his body. Now that complete human RECIEVED the spirit of the living GOD INTO HIM AT THE JORDAN RIVER, RIGHT? Now do you think the complete human being died, then or did he walk about as a the same complete human being “with” the spirit of the living God in him.
I think MARTY IS JUST SAYING that even though THE COMPLETE HUMAN BEING JESUS, had the anointing SPIRIT of the living GOD on him that did not change him from being a man, with a human flesh body that has the breath of life (spirit) in it. Did not Jesus’ body go where ever the spirit of the living GOD LEAD HIM, EVEN TO his physical death. You say that the body prophets nothing, and i know scripture saysthat, but none the less JESUS’S BODY PROOITED US RIGHT? DID NOT JESUS SAY HE GAVE HID “BODY” FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD. Now what could he use to pay for our sins with if not his body? Just something to think about brother.
peace and love to you and yours. ………..gene
November 22, 2015 at 6:45 am#805089NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.1Cor14.32
We are also warned not to quench the Spirit.
The man Jesus Christ was not just a puppet but was a man completely and voluntarily subject to the will of God unto death.
November 22, 2015 at 8:52 am#805091NickHassanParticipantHi,
And he told us to pray that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven.
All God requires is available and amenable servants.
Grace does the rest.

Your definition of human wisdom and that of Scripture are at odds. Throw away those things are at odds with the truth. Human wisdom is wisdom based on the desires of the flesh and godly wisdom is wisdom based on the desires of the Spirit. If someone words are written from human wisdom then how are they based on the desires of the flesh?
November 22, 2015 at 8:59 am#805094NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
My ways are not your ways and My thoughts are not your thoughts.
November 22, 2015 at 9:07 am#805095kerwinParticipant942767,
Every human being is made by the power of God but Jesus’ conception is miraculous and not the conception that results when a male gamete and a female merge to form a new human being. Instead God took a part of Mary and made Jesus much as he earlier took a part of Adam and made Eve. Of the two Eve probably required the most extensive genetically changes as she was to be the wife of Adam not the child. Jesus on the other hand was formed slower as he was in his mother’s womb about nine months and took a number of years to reach adulthood while when Adam woke Eve was already a grown woman.
November 22, 2015 at 9:09 am#805096kerwinParticipantNick,
You are correct that God’s ways are not the ways of those that walk according to the flesh nor are his thoughts the thoughts of those that walk according to the flesh for he walks according the Spirit.
November 22, 2015 at 9:12 am#805097NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes you must be reborn of the Spirit to walk in the Spirit.
November 22, 2015 at 9:15 am#805098NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Fanciful ideas about what God called conception. Jesus was not made of Mary alone.
November 22, 2015 at 9:57 am#805099kerwinParticipantNick,
Who else do you believe Jesus was made of?
November 22, 2015 at 10:11 am#805103NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
He was conceived.
God was his father and Mary his mother.
November 22, 2015 at 10:20 am#805104942767ParticipantHi Nick:
It was t8 who said what you say that I said. I was responding to his comment. Jesus was anointed to preach the gospel or the Word of God, therefore, he is not the Word of God.
Hi 94,

My Comments:
I agree that this a very important matter, but his whole life matters from his birth, his life under the Law of Moses, that he was anointed as God’s Christ, and that he obeyed God without sin even unto death on the cross, and the fact that he was raised from the dead, and that he now reigns at the right hand of God as head of the church, and that he will come to judge the living and the dead.
All of his life matters. You cannot have one without the other.

You say:
but scriptures don’t say that it is in that way that Jesus came from above and down from heaven ;but if you have a scripture that says that i would like to know
My comments:
Well do the scriptures in John 6 show me how he came from heaven, but they do not say that to you, maybe you can show me how he came from heaven if you don’t believe that this is what the scriptures mean.
Love in Christ,
MartyNovember 22, 2015 at 11:39 am#805112kerwinParticipantNick,
God is not the father of Jesus’ body. Scripture teaches us that according to the flesh he is Mary’s child and through her the descendant of David. His genealogy is recorded and it is stated that is through Adam that he is the Son of Man.
God is the father of Jesus’ Spirit.
The Spirit hovered over Mary in the likeness of it hovering over creation and indeed was made in her body just as Adam was made of the earth on the Sixth Night and Day.
November 22, 2015 at 11:45 am#805114NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Do you deny that God fathered Jesus?
