I would like to know how;; Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin.
this scripture is true.

ParticipantPierre: Jesus was tempted to disbelieve he was the chosen son of God just the same way we are tempted to disbelieve the words Jesus has given to us. Like you are clean, ordained, made whole and sinless. This is the good news of the new testament from God through Jesus. The new covenant is uncovering sons of God by exposing darkness with the light, telling them the truth of whom they always were.
Mankind was lost in sin and darkness when Jesus came.
A new day/light of the lord had come.Jesus brought the light to our minds that cast out darkness(can you hear). As the truth of God, through Jesus, casts out lies and deceptions, from the darkened minds of mankind, they are uncovered as to who they are. Perfect Jesus came to make perfect his brothers and sisters who were lost in lack of knowledge and understanding.
The great dark religion of ot tried to test and trick Jesus in many ways as to truth of God. These dark powers in high religious positions used cunning and trickery of words. Much like today.
Jesus said he was the sower of truth/seed but untruth/antichrist, doctrines of error/sin crept into the garden along with the truth. Jesus said let them live together until the harvest lest while rooting up the bad we loose some of the good. When the harvest time comes (NOW) I will send out reapers (fires of the Holy Ghost) and they will burn and uproot all evil, gather them to burn them and the good inherit the earth. All Jesus' parables say the same, evil is taken and good left in the earth to shine in the Kingdom of their Father.
For those who have ears to hear please hear. The fields are ripe for harvest, NOW! The good plants/trees are left in the earth!! Evil is taken from the earth!! Check it out in every parable. The war of Armaghedon is the war we are in right now, its a spiritual/words war between God's truth and evil docrtines. NOT HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE ON EARTH!
Light and darkness. Light always overtakes darkness because darkness is an illusion of truth. Take light into a dark room and light overcomes/wins. You can't take darkness into light because darkness is a lie, a deception of untruth. Its an illusion in the minds of men. In the beginning was light and in God there is no darkness at all. IMO, TK

read the test that Job went trough and understand;
Job 1:8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
Job 1:9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.
Job 1:10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.
Job 1:11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Job 1:12 The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.
Job 1:13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house,
Job 1:14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby,
Job 1:15 and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell youJob 1:21 and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.”
Job 1:22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.Job 2:1 On another day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them to present himself before him.
Job 2:2 And the LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.”
Job 2:3 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”
Job 2:4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life.
Job 2:5 But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
Job 2:6 The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
Job 2:7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.
Job 2:8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
Job 2:9 His wife said to him, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
Job 2:10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.Job 2:11 When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.
Job 2:12 When they saw him from a distance, they could hardly recognize him; they began to weep aloud, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads.
Job 2:13 Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was.Mt 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.
Mt 4:2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
Mt 4:3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Mt 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’’”
Mt 4:5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
Mt 4:6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“ ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’’”
Mt 4:7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’’”
Mt 4:8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
Mt 4:9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Mt 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’’”
Mt 4:11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.this was not finish Jesus as still to be tested for the next 3.5 years,by many friends and foe

ParticipantPierre,
I like the scriptures and points you are making but I do not understand what you mean by “how” as it is my understanding there is only one way to be tempted by evil.

ParticipantPierre,
In Mathew the temptations seemed to be centered around selfish ambition and arrogance but Jesus is humble and resisted Satan as we all are taught to do.
I believe Jesus was tempted in other ways at other times but before temting him Satan needed to get permission from God.
Job also resisted Satan when he was tempted for he did not curse God even with many troubles and tribulations beset him.

the difference between Job and Jesus 1)in Job case Satan takes away, and in Jesus case he try to give him everything,
2) in Job case Satan make Job sick in Jesus case he waited until Jesus was weak to ask for what he was needing FOOD.
3) in the case of Job Satan uses the friends of Job to convince him that he ad sin and what happen is for is blame and punishment from God.this for weeks.in the case of Jesus at the weakest point he ask a little act, just one,
so this ends Satan direct attack one Jesus ,but the battle was not over ,and scriptures tells us what he went trough for us all.
he was without sin ,just like Adam before he sin.
THIS IS THE ONE WE ,AS CHRISTIANS SHOULD FOLLOW.
