Right. But we could stop there and think we both agreed when we didn't.Let's play a little fill in the blank:
These three (what) are one _ (what).
Three what?
One what?
What did St. John mean?

Not playing with the word of God. I'm playing with you. (in the sense I meant it…which of course doesn't mean “teasing”)Are they the same person?
October 8, 2009 at 6:37 pm#149361NickHassanParticipantHi CA,
Which PERSON do you pray to as God or are you consistent?
Our Trinity…October 8, 2009 at 6:55 pm#149371NickHassanParticipantHi,
GOD THE SON, a name not shown in scripture, certainly seems to be different to the one true God.
Surely we have only one God and not two or three so the trinity crumbles.October 8, 2009 at 6:58 pm#149375Jesus name follower of ChristParticipantone God only jesus is His name

So let's take a look at Polycarp of Smyrna disciple of John and bishop of Smryna in the first century:Polycarp
“I praise you for all things, I bless you, I glorify you, along with the everlasting and heavenly Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, with whom, to you and the Holy Spirit, be glory both now and to all coming ages. Amen” (Martyrdom of Polycarp 14 [A.D. 156]).
Did Christianity fail so miserably so soon?

Why does everything have to be in the Bible for you to believe it?Of course this is in the Bible, but I'm weary and it's late. So sorry, maybe when I have more time on my hands I can go give you your obvious answer. But I'm pretty sure I already gave it to you before.
October 14, 2009 at 9:14 am#150285NickHassanParticipantHi CA,
