    Hi Pierre,

Are you suggesting there is no King now?
Would YOUR idea not cancel Jer 33:17?

Did you noticed what it says?
IN THAT DAY; IN THOSE DAYS; IN HIS DAYS.
SINCE ISRAEL IS TAKEN BY BABYLON; ISRAEL AS A NATION DID NOT EXIST,FOR 2500YRS. UNTIL 1948.

in verse16. and jerusalem shall dwell safely.
Not happening yet. this is future; in the 1000yr reign.
Jesus is sitting next to his father after his resurrection; he is not ruling any kingdom.

The true followers will be the potential rulers with him.

the  “CORRECT question  that others ask of you.

“For thus saith [the LORD GOD]; David shall never [be without]

Are you saying that there was no “King” in Israel at that time?

    PLease read:

jer.33:17.FOR THUS SAID THE LORD; DAVID SHALL –NEVER–WANT A MAN TO SIT UPON THE THRONE OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL.

23;6. IN HIS DAYS—judah shall be saved and israel shall dwell savely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called,THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

He will have his day: as a king, ruling in his physical kingdom,in israel.

God was the FIRST KING in israel. and he will be the last king.

    Hi Wakeup,

We are having communication problems. The  TWO  questions I want you to answer are:

Point #1  Do you understand that this text (Jer 33:17) is saying there will always be a king; yes or no?

Point #2  Was there always a “King” in Israel from the time of the Babylon captivity till Jesus was born; yes or no?

You do understand Yes / no questions, do you not?
You always seem to be answering something else?
    So WILL YOU please answer
    the questions I ask?

    Hello  Ed

I've just been reading this post back and forth between you and wakeup and I find you truly amazing.  I'm so gobsmacked.  I would love to write a comedy sketch.

Ed   “Do you understand the truth of what this verse is saying in Jeremiah 33:17”

Wakeup says “That verse doesn't read the same in the KJV”
then Wakeup answers your question with scripture.  He gives Jerem 33:15, two verses up from the scripture you posted to show you that it says IN THOSE DAYS, at THAT TIME will God cause the Branch of Righteousness to grow up unto David and he shall execute righteousness in the Land.
    Then
Wakeup quotes the next verse down
Jerem 33:16   IN THOSE DAYS Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely.
    Then
He showed you another scripture that connects to this in
Jerem 23:5   Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will raise after David a righteous branch, and a king shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgement and justice on the earth.

Doesn't this answer your question already Ed?  Jesus who is of the lineage of David, tribe of Judah will reign on the earth at the appointed time, and during this time Jerusalem shall dwell safely…..So this is during the MILLENIUM

Wakeup shows you the next verse in Jerem to show it's connecting to the same scripture referring to the scripture YOU QUOTED if you look at the verses above and below
Jerem 23:6   IN HIS DAYS Judah shall be saved and ISRAEL SHALL SWELL SAFELY and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord our Righteousness.

    Then Ed replies

Wakeup you don't believe that Jer 33:17 is talking about Israel always having a king, wakeup?

Come on Ed, he just answered your question

    then Wakeup replies
Did you notice what it says?  IN THAT DAY, IN THOSE DAYS, IN HIS DAY,
since Israel is taken by Babylon, Israel as a nation did not exist for 2500 years until 1948

    THEN
wakeup gives you Jeremiah V16 again, to take a closer look at the words…..AND ISRAEL SHALL DWELL SAFELY
Wakeup explains that this is not happening yet, that this is future, in the 1000 year reign.  Wakeup tells you that Jesus is sitting next to his father since his resurrection and he is not ruling any kingdom YET.

    Ed
Wakeup- you sure have a lot of trouble answering the “Correct Question” that others ask of you
Are you saying that there was no king in Israel at that time?

By this time, I'm thinking is this a bad joke?

Wakeup tells you to read Jer 33:17.  The verse you quoted.  The verse that is about this whole post.
then Wakeup gives you Jerem 23:6 again for you to take a closer closer look   IN HIS DAY, Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely.

Wakeup says God was the first King in Israel and he will be the last

Obviously wakeup believes that Israel have no king in Israel at that time, and even until now.  What don't you understand Ed?  He's answered you 4 times now, and you still don't get it.
Wakeup is obviously getting frustrated with your ignorance now and tells you your mind is set like concrete.  From the outside looking at this post, it is obvious wakeup is talking to a brick wall.

    then Ed replies
    WE ARE HAVING COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS.
The two questions I want you to answer are:
Point 1:  Do you understand that this text (Jerem 33:17) is saying there will always be a king yes or no

Point 2:  Was there always a king in Israel from the time of Babylon Captivity till Jesus was born yes or no?.

THEN YOU HUMILIATE WAKEUP AND SAY
“You do understand yes/no questions , do you not?
You always seem to be answering something else?
So will you please answer the questions I ask?

Ed, you are the one having communication problems here. Can't you see that? You did not give an explanation to the verse you quoted. You asked a simple question. Now that answer wakeup gave you is not good enough.  Wakeup showed you what it was talking about.  You refused to listen because you have another idea in your head as to the meaning.  You were given scripture, explanation and proof.  Then you humiliate him.  You ask two questions now, and wakeup has already answered them. Then you end it with God bless. Look at yourself please.  Look at your style and conduct.  It is not fitting for a saint.  Everything we say is recorded not only here, but by the angels in heaven. If we are genuine, then we would not twist words, or behave like this. It's starting to look like some are batting fo
r the other team. Please consider what I tell you. Go back over and read the whole post again. You probably don't realise it.

One thing to keep in mind, when the scribes and pharisees tried to “catch out Christ” did Christ answer them directly?

    Hi Georgie,

First let me thank you for interpreting for me
what you say Wakeup is saying about Jer 33:17.

Would that interpretation not nullify what Jer 33:17 says?

“For thus saith [the LORD GOD]; David shall never [be without]

Yes I understand what that is saying; and it was so; I said “was”.

You have to understand what is meant by “the house” of Israel; it means the kingdom of Israel.

Do you also remember what Ezekiel prophesied?

Eze 21:26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

The crown is a symbol of ruler ship; after Babylon invaded Judah, they no longer ruled them self.

Then, after 70 AD, even the nation ceased to exist; no nation, no king.
Even after Israel became a nation again, in 1948, they don't have a king. the next King will be Jesus Christ.

Eze 21:27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, “”until he”” (Jesus) come whose right it is; and I will give it him.
