I'm not sure why most Christians abandond the idea that Jesus is God's literal Son? What would change in your faith if you did?

He is, conceived in Mary so son of God and man.
But he is also the glorious monogenes son who was sent into the world.Sent into the world from his source – his Father. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God.
