t8, I think you are mostly arguing the wrong thread.
But you did say this;
“A witness is someone who speaks the true message of God about God.” (bold added)
Quote Christians are given the NT to spread the word concerning Christ, no?
So when I saw someone's “witnessing for YHVH” I had to question whether this was right or not.–DavidBFun
And as I said:
A Witness is someone who tells what they know about something. We are to “witness” about God, and what he has done to save mankind through his son, Jesus. We also witness or preach Jesus. So T8, unless you don't believe we should witness about Jesus as well, then you actually agree with me on this actual subject. Anything else you said belongs somewhere else.
August 26, 2010 at 1:38 am#213851davidbfunParticipantQuote (t8 @ Aug. 22 2010,16:55) david. A witness is not a person who joins any particular denomination.
A witness is someone who speaks the true message of God about God.God's structure is not like our structures.
We run businesses and people think that churches should be run the same way.
And they are actually right because a man-made church is a man-made creation that is there to do the bidding of man.The Body of Christ is the real Church. The body faces many enemies, needless to say, the world is one of them.
Beware of the world. It comes in many guises.
Hi t8,I asked this before but can someone help me out?
What name did Jesus make known?
Jhn 17:26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Not once in the NT have I seen the name YHWH.

We don't have the original manuscripts. Unlike the Hebrew scriptures, the originals were written on a much less sustainable material. We only have copies of copies.
Do you think that when the inspired Bible writers quoted from the Hebrew scripture and they quoted something that contained God's name, they altered the quote?
Or, do you think it's more reasonable that people made changes later.Even today, people do the exact same thing with the Hebrew scriptures. Look at the KJ. Does it not have “GOD” and “LORD” thousands of times where God's name originally was? Yes.

Hi David,Where is Revelation? Usually I try to put the quote in my post so the people can see it and be able to check with their translation.
Why the word “Christian” and not YHWHian?

August 28, 2010 at 2:11 am#214197davidbfunParticipantPierre,
I think that the Jews followed YHWH.
I think that YHWH's true followers followed Yahshua.
NT churches are identified with Christ. The Temple is identified with YHWH.
So, who would be witnessing for YHWH but the Jews?
What name is given under heaven for salvation?
Act 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”Phl 2:9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
Phl 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Phl 2:11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
We bring glory to God by “worshiping” His son.
The “true” modern day witness will be preaching Jesus and singing his praises…..IMO

this is my search for many years ,who are the true worshipers of God?? are we as true fullfiler of his word the true worshipers,I beleive so but you have to totaly sincere and have no doubt in your faith.
make it know to all people you meet that you are a Christian ,not a churche follower, many times I had conversation with people so called born again Christians and they told me that i push my believes to far ,and wen I ask them if there is a % percentage what is acceptable to God what would it be ? I receive no answer and they avoyed to be with me.
I have been stop for promotion in my field of work but to me it was nothing ,my faith in God is first .
so many say they are Christians but the truth will be reveled at the resurection.
“it is not all who call on the name of the Lord who will be saved”

The churches want at least 10%. Jesus asked for nothing but gave all. He told the rich young man to go, sell all that he had and give to the poor. Some in Acts gave 100%, others lied and cheated and dropped dead.
During the past few years I helped a Church of God in Christ elder and he ripped me off for for over $100,000 and helped pull me under to financial ruin. And he still goes about preaching “Wealth and Prosperity” in the churches and on You Tube with no shame because he makes his living off deceiving others in the church.
Ironically we had to come to Colombia to live because of my low retirement but because of it I have lost 50 pounds and no longer have the migrains and other medical problems that I used to have. So, who knows what God had planned ahead of time. What I felt was a curse might've actually been a blessing.
I still trust in God but agree with what you say about the truth will be revealed in the resurrection.

DBFwe have to take responsibility of what we do ,I came to the conclusion that people who go to churches today it is because they are not willing to address that responsibility before God,
even JW they have built buildings on the back of others just as the catholic did and protestant,it is all money,
look at Christ he stay away of all those religion of is time.
truth and faith in scriptures is the way.

I agree for the most part because I have yet seen a church that isn't in it for the money….first for the pastor and staff, then for the bldg and utilities and eventually to the “poor” or “missions”. And watch out when you become the “poor” and see if they ever help you out. lol
