J. Reuben Clark is a prominent leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While we may disagree with Mormon theology and even Church demominations themesleves, I feel at liberty to quote anybody, if they utter the truth, even if they do not apply the truth. J. Reuben Clark in my view uttered the truth in this particular instance when he uttered these words.
If we have truth, it cannot be harmed by investigation. If we have not “truth, it ought to be harmed.
I like you, view things from a broad perspective.
1 Thes 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Prov 1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
