Keith,I think Ed is using this verse as a proof text that we are equal to Christ because we are heirs with Him. Since we are equal to Christ but less than God, then Christ must be less than God. But the Greek literally says, “We are joint heirs together of Christ.”

We are NOT heirs together with Christ. You and I are heirs together of God and of Christ.God and Christ are the inheritance.
