And which is your master?
Nick,I already answered your question; A watchman watches in vain; if God is not with him.

And if God wanted us to KNOW something He would make sure we had the scriptures.

Nick,That is not what Scripture states. It is instead written:
Proverbs 25:2
King James Version (KJV)2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
and
Mark 4:11
King James Version (KJV)11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
and
Psalm 78:2
King James Version (KJV)2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
God speaks in parable and with hidden saying as well as clearly. He does it to reveal who he approves by testing the hearts of men.

Many rely on logic and inference here when they study the sacred words
These are very poor tools and rarely can two agreeMarch 21, 2014 at 2:47 am#374360NickHassanParticipantHi,
2 peter 1
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
March 21, 2014 at 5:22 am#374375kerwinParticipantNick,
Infer means hints. Imply means the logical results such as the fact that as God is called the God of Abraham after Abraham is dead means that in some way Abraham is still alive and therefore the verse Jesus quoted implies there is a resurrection of the dead.

Nick,I do not think you know what you are speaking of but I will point out that there is no passage in the OT that states there will be a resurrection of the dead and that is why the Sadducee sect of the true faith did not believe there was one. Jesus pointed out that though it was not literally written it was implied by using logical reasoning based on godly principles.

Nick,You are making a false dichotomy as human logic is not in opposition to inspiration. What you write is not written in Scripture but is from the desires of your flesh. A teaching you probably were brought with and one you have not yet learned to overcome.
I know that Scripture reveals that Jesus used “human logic” to prove that there is a resurrection of the dead and Paul also used reason. I also know in condemning “human logic” you condemn there actions in doing so. That is not a wise course you have chosen.
I cannot thing of anything else to say to warn you away from the deadly course you have set for yourself. It is your choice to make not mine.
