Infallibility

Hi,
Catholics claim the Pope is the vicar of Christ, that he stands on the authority of Jesus himself when he speaks on doctrinal matters.

Such nonsense is not confined to catholicism as some claim that anyone born of the Spirit has his mind changed instantly and permanently to that of Christ and thence understands and speaks words inspired by the Spirit of God.

We know the Spirit reminds us of the words of Jesus and does not speak of His own initiative.

13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

So if that was the case then we should see only scripturally revealed truth spoken by these men. Closer analysis reveals rather more carnal ideas including personal opinion and unscriptural speculations are more often seen in their fruit.

We must abide in the Word which is truth[Jn17.1, 2Jn]

Hi,

In recent days we have seen Wakeup claim he sees more clearly than Paul and Journey 42 even claim she owns knowledge.

From such lofty viewpoints it would seem right to teach and propound new doctrines and lecture the masses.

Any questioners would be see as ignorant, immature, evil, unspiritual and even demonised and we have seen all those accusations levelled at others here.

Tragically it has killed dialogue as expected and their loss of credibility has prevented us taking their sensible ideas seriously.

Of course it is all a nonsense and a delusion.

If you claim they are wrong; then proof them wrong with scriptures.
