Quote (kejonn @ Feb. 04 2009,00:20) What if I call out in prayer and another god answers? What if it is the Norse god, Odin? What if it is one of the many Celtic gods? Or a Native American god? How will I know with clarity which god is answering my call?
I called out and YHWH answered me.I seriously gave the opportunity for God to talk to me and he did. I checked out a number of religions and I was very objective and unbiased.
YHWH answered. The same God of the Jews. The same God who brought them back into their own land and the one who sent Isaiah, Ezekial, Daniel, and Yeshua.
All the other God's were silent, and their prophets are silent too. What other religion has outlined the future? From what I can tell, they are more about “do not touch, do not taste”.

I can vouch for what I believe in and the associated fruit and evidence I have received as a result. Is this supposed to mean something? It is empty as far as getting to the bottom of the word “truth”.
Yes it means something to me because it is my experience. If you have no experience, then how can you know?
April 17, 2009 at 10:43 pm#127909ProclaimerParticipantHey KJ.
My faith is not based on my upbringing or culture. It is something that I have personally experienced and because of that, I can't be talked out of it. I have tasted of the Kingdom.
I was brought up an atheist in a country with many atheists.
I even fought the atheist fight not knowing any better.I also find denominations boring. I did when I was an atheist and I do now.
But I don't find YHWH boring. He is awesome or should I say awful (full of awe).
Nothing compares to God.

Why were you doing that? What was the motive to reject your lack of religion?Quote YHWH answered. The same God of the Jews. The same God who brought them back into their own land
Are you referring to the fictional story of the Exodus?Quote and the one who sent Isaiah, Ezekial, Daniel, and Yeshua.
Did ‘he’ send Jesus, or is ‘he’ Jesus?Quote All the other God's were silent, and their prophets are silent too. What other religion has outlined the future? From what I can tell, they are more about “do not touch, do not taste”.
Your religion has not outlined the future. Every christian’s prediction of the second coming, which was supposed to have occurred during the lifetime of his contemporary followers, has proved to be wrong. Or else christians cannot tell who the messiah was when he did return. You claim to have ‘heard’ your god, yet you cannot see ‘him’ (references available on request!). Why do you reject the claims of others who can hear their gods but not yours? Why do you reject your own former belief that there is no god, when others still make that claim because they still cannot hear what you claim to hear, and many people reject christianity on the basis that they never really heard anything, and were just kidding themselves, or were deceived by a cult leader?
If you were to choose one question to answer, could it be the first one? I am all for keeping an open mind because we cannot prove anything about gods, but the way you write it, you were on a religious shopping expedition, not just an open consideration.
What was your motive?

I called out and YHWH answered me.Hey, way to resurrect and old thread. You're just like Jesus!
BTW, how can you be sure it was YHWH. Did he tell you? How exactly did he pronounce “YHWH”?
Quote I seriously gave the opportunity for God to talk to me and he did. I checked out a number of religions and I was very objective and unbiased. Uhhuh. Can we get your notes as you “checked out” these other religons? Or did you settle for the one that promises less hell?
Quote YHWH answered. The same God of the Jews. The same God who brought them back into their own land and the one who sent Isaiah, Ezekial, Daniel, and Yeshua. So are you a Jew then? Kool!

Uh, none of any gods TRULY outline the future. The best they can do is vague prophecies fulfilled in the same set of compilations.I am not impressed. In the slightest.

And I have tasted of chocolate. I, along with many other folks, like the taste. But not all do. Should I condemn those who prefer vanilla?

Awful works.
